Southwest is Best Burgers
 
Burgers
 
1.5 pounds of of ground turkey (93-7)
2/3 cup sweet corn (charred on bbq)
4 chopped serranos
1 oregano
1/4 cup panko bread crumbs
1.5 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup queso fresco
2 tbsp grapeseed oil
1/8 tsp 7 pod powder
1/8 tsp 15 pepper blend (pecan smoked)
1 egg
sliced pepperjack cheese
 
Place all ingredients in a bowl and hand-mix until evenly blended.  Add the charred corn when it is finished on the grill.  Sear both sides of burgers on the grill then move away from direct heat to finish cooking.  Place two slices of pepper jack cheese on top and let it melt.  Remove from grill
 
Salsa
 
10 tomatillos
1 handful of cilantro
lime juice (1 lime)
1 pinch of salt
1 half of a sweet onion
1 jalapeno
2 serranos
 
Char the peppers and sweet onion on the grill until blackened.  Remove ingredients from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.  Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until the desired consistency is met.
 
Burger Building
 
Toast a buns on the grill and remove when desired toastiness is reached.  Place a burger patty on the bottom of bun. spread a healthy amount of grilled onion on top then cover with salsa verde.  Next add a layer of chopped jalapenos and sliced avocado......enjoy!!!
