Oh Dear. Brace yourself. Here comes my first ever Throwdown Entry!!!!!!!
I call my entry
Juicy Steve & Simple Lucy Ft. Chilli Mayo
Here's the ingredients I used:
- 500g Minced Beef
- 1 Large Brown Onion
- 3 Garlic Cloves
- Worcestershire Sauce (Dunno how much)
- Pepper (not chilli)
- Woody's Fire Powder, my mate's secret recipe chilli powder
- Cheddar Cheese (dunno how much, about 200g?)
- Hamburger Buns
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Canned Beetroot
- Canned Pineapple
- One Egg
- BBQ Sauce
- Mayonaise
- Woody's Fire Powder
-How It Happened-
First up, I grated the onion, and nearly called it quits there.
I crushed the garlic cloves, and mixed the onion, garlic, beef, pepper, powder and worcestershire sauce together to get a nice mixture.
Here's a photo before it was a nice mixture:
I then made the mixture into ten lumps, and turned the lumps into thin patties.
Then chuck it in the fridge for about 15 minutes, and then add a small pile of cheese to half of the patties. Then some magic, and you have five burgers with cheese inside then!
Here's a photo before the magic happened:
And then ya cook the burger patties, too cold for the Barbie, so I used the stove top instead.
Here is my favourite picture from the whole experience:
Gotta love the steam!
And now its time to segregate the burgers.
One got turned into the Simple Lucy Ft. Chilli Mayo
To make the Chilli Mayo, I undertook the long and complicated process of mixing the Woody's Fire Powder with the Mayo. About one teaspoon firepowder to two tablespoons mayo I think.
I served this burger with Lettuce and Tomato, simple!
Here's the piccies!
The Mayo.
The Burger.
A bit Blurry, but you can see the cheese glistening.
The Other Burger!
Called the Juicy Steve, as Aussie as Steve Irwin!
This one got served with THE LOT.
First up, I fried the egg
Yum!
Then I loaded the burger up with everything, in this order: BBQ sauce, egg, burger pattie, tomato, beetroot, pineapple and lettuce.
Yes, It is a capital crime to not include bacon, but I forgot to buy any, and the butcher was shut by the time I realised.
Anyway, here's the pics:
Deeper...
And Deeper...
Look at that yolk! And the cheese! Yum yum yum!!!
And that's it! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
And please, forgive the lack of bacon! (lol)
