Grant yes the ESB was their namesake beer so to speak, I def had that, sorry, not sure I had the IPA, I thought the other was swill lol!
Their IPA actually used to be pretty decent 10 years ago. The recipe has completely changed though. The change probably happened around the time I got that "bad batch", when I was like WTF? I cracked every single beer to take a sip, and they all didn't taste like Longhammer at all. My first drain pour commenced. It wasn't alcohol abuse though...what Red Hook did to my beloved Longhammer recipe was the real alcohol abuse. The Hot Pepper said:Grant yes the ESB was their namesake beer so to speak, I def had that, sorry, not sure I had the IPA, I thought the other was swill lol!

True, it probably tasted literally like a copper hook. That was nice of her to hook you up with some beer for your 21st though!t0mato said:Â
Yes it was.Â

My mom got me a case of copperhook for my 21st birthday. I hated it from the first sip, but didn't have the heart to tell my mom that it was awful.
So you got OH glasses but no OH beer?grantmichaels said:That's the one I wanted. I snagged the others just to leverage the shipping ...

I was wondering the same thing, but also envious of tasting some of the epic brews that are coming from OH. I'm going to have to wait for 3 hours this Thursday to get 8 cans of the best two IIPAs brewed in the DC/NOVA area. I could almost brew 5 gallons of my own IIPA in that same time frame, so I'm hoping it's worth it.Grass Snake said:So you got OH glasses but no OH beer?
When are you starting? I remember seeing that you had most all of the equipment to start. What will be your first brew?Grass Snake said:It's starting to be about freshness with me, can't wait till I start brewing myself, doubt I will be chasing many beers down then..
I'd not, and brew ... lol.Thegreenchilemonster said:I was wondering the same thing, but also envious of tasting some of the epic brews that are coming from OH.
