Question for the homebrewers: I noticed my new brew kettle has scorch marks from the first use. Is this normal and will it affect the quality of future batches? Looks ugly

Shouldn't effect it. Although try to adjust the flame so it's mostly blue flame with just the tips of the flames orange. It will definitely get abbot discolored but n the bottom but I haven't noticed and flavor problems.Grass Snake said:Question for the homebrewers: I noticed my new brew kettle has scorch marks from the first use.
