I started my seeds in early February and continued starting seeds until April...just couldn't stop starting new varieties...again. I always take the cheap route and use plain old Miracle-Gro potting soil. It has always worked for me. I also start my seeds in paper towels then transfer them straight to 4 inch pots (I thought they were 3 inch, but they're 4). I use a 125w CFL for lighting and I usually grow around 30 plants. Here's the beginning.

I had crappy soil before this pic and some of these are bare-root transplants. But I did lose one...Chocolate Primo. It just looked funky after transplant.

Here they were just before plant out. Pic taken on May 4...with the addition of a few new seedlings and maters.

Then I ran into the bugs. The flippin' bugs. Judging by the damage, I'm guessing broad mites.

But I soaped then neemed a couple times and things are looking up. I'll have to get a pic of what that plant (Goatsweed) looks like now. This is the latest pic with the addition of the nursery veggies.

That'll probably do it for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Congrats! Will be following its progress.
Thanks, Chuck! Pretty excited to see what this brings.

I took a look at this and thought I was gonna have a superhot today...

It looks like this first 7 Pot Cinder will have to wait a day or two.

Here are some PDN

That tomato looks fire, I was hoping to have gallons of tomatoes by now but I don't seem to be getting that many, next year more tomato plants for sure, like a few hundred lol
Lol. Thank you! My tomatoes actually are doing pretty well. I personally don't like tomatoes, but that German Pink disappeared between two people and BLT's. Lol

Thank you very much! I'm trying to muster up the courage to try it out. It's finally done, but I guess I'm too scared. lol
I would be too. Every chocolate super hot I've tried has been a straight up gut bomb, especially cappie's chocolate brainstrain I grew last Summer. That chile caused cap cramps like no other. I dried most of the pods, and made powder, but have been pretty scared to touch the stuff since.

I hear ya. That's just it. That's the thing that frightens me. I can handle the mouth and throat burn (for the most part), but my gut feels it right away and I might have to drink just to get rid of that. Then you know what comes in a few hours. Ugh. If only I could burp it out every time.

Bahahahahahahaha

I got chocolate Brainstrains grown by Cappie in 2015 and they made me feel like such a wimp
I mean like ;cramping, and sweating, and chills, and me asking myself why the heck i do this to myself,  then it stopped, then came back again in the middle of the night and into the next morning
most of them got dried and added to my chocolate superhot mix powder, they were just too intense fresh.  :mouthonfire:

if your going to try a whole chocolate superHot fresh, i suggest you chew it for as long as possible to attempt to lessen the gut-bomb effect, but your going to be in pain either way  :mouthonfire:  :!:
dont have anything you need to do for several hours

have fun ;)

Thanks for the tip, GIP! Sometimes it gets so hot in your mouth that all you wanna do is get it down. And that's not always easy, either. Might need a drink just to get it down. But I'll try it tomorrow...I think. Lol

Here's my blast from the past. In 2014, I saved seeds from a store bought superhot because it was brown. I grew them out in 2015 and here's what came up.

A very nice pepper. Might give it another shot next year. Grocery store mystery is what I called it.

Here's a pic of the garden in 2015.

And one of many hauls that year.

Have a nice night!

Ok. So I decided today was the day to sample the first 7 Pot Cinder F2 (BBM x Madballz) pod. First superhot of the season and it has to be this one. Lol. Frankly, it scares the hell out of me. After seeing what F1 did to PeterS, I didn't know how much to try. I've been playing it over and over in my head: "I'm going to make a video of myself eating the whole thing." Well I chickened out of that just because I've never made a video and I'm highly embarrassed. I've never posted a pic of myself. Well, that's gonna change today. Anyway, let's get to the pod.

Here is the first (almost) ripe 7 Pot Cinder F2

And here's the inside

Oil deposits everywhere. Smell is very fruity and pleasant. Smells hot. So I decided half was what I was gonna do. I ate the half on the right (of course...less placenta) and after a 20-30 second delay, this is what I looked like. Please excuse my unkempt appearance.

The pain was intense. Tongue, gums and throat, then it all moved to the throat. Frickin aggressive. Whew! But I survived and am glad I didn't eat the whole thing. Oh, the pod weighed 8.37 grams.

Well, that was breakfast.

Thanks, Sim! I'd say it's up there. Judy's Bhutlah put a hurt on me a couple years ago and another memorable pod was a UMCD that ripened red. Those were the worst cramps ever. As soon as more ripen, I'll send some out to people to give it a try. Hopefully PeterS will be interested again??
