food Burgers? Hell Yeah!!

I'm gonna grow a full-on Grizzly Adams beard so I'll have a built in drool protector.

I have made The Texas Blues smash method, and unless I'm grillin,
that's the most awesome way to round house kick it.

Bloody well right TB. Bloody well right...

I am diggin your Salmon thumb ring. Alaskan acquisition?

Danielle - inspecting your hands for payback - wonders why you cook in your cock-ring! ...

When grabbin' the neck of a guitar sometimes my wedding band on my left hand clacks on the fret board, 'specially when I have a glass slide on mah' pinky 'fanger and thus have to remove it. I can wear the 2 fish thumb 'rang without prejudice on my right, even playing without pics and going naked on the strings. Thumpin' out a northern Mississippi style bass groove while pluckin' double stops feels so dang good and the silver doesn't get in the way. In fact the weight of the ring I think adds stability to my thumb while doing so.

The other 'thang is the ring represents my struggle against the establishment and all 'thangs associated with "the man". The carved fish on it are symbolic of my life which is directly linked to not only my love of eating fish, but also traumatizing little fishes on the end of a line both for sport and pleasure. Not too long ago I enjoyed traumatizing them professionally. I'm such a fool for fishin' I'd man-whore myself out for a shot at a permit, tarpon, or salmon on the fly.

And cockle doodle doo to Danielle too!

Yess!! Gotdamn good lookin sliders. Great to see TB postin up some deliciously cooked animal again.

I think its gonna be a burger type of day in my house also. I'm on my way to the store to get one of these and replace my cheapo $30 kettle so I can smoke some shit.

I searched for damn near a whole year for a hot blue and righteous ring that featured salmon but found nothing that wasn't for sale less than a brick of gold bigger than a baby's arm.

The fish on this ring are somewhat ambiguous in nature. They look like Japanese carp or koi but could represent any fish really.

The silver is good quality and the carving is clear and defined.

I dig to be digging it.

Not sure that I sassified my burger lust entirely last eve.

Possible repeat tonight.....I dunno' yet fer sure.

Let's not forget the whole wheat double fiber hippy bun! Cheers!

Tonights burger may have contributed to an early grave for me, thus, it is to be named The Tombstone.

All started with wanting to make some onion rings, one thing lead to another, and a burger of Heartattack qualities was born. Started with some sourdough bread, thickly slice, smeared in sriracha sauce and guacamole. Layer on some tomatoes.

Onion rings and jalapenos, Hashbrown, Bacon, Cheese. What could possibly go wrong........

Have a slightly sore chest, and may have dislocated my jaw.......

Damn bread was upside down, too late too do anything about it

Morning to all!

I got me a new cast Iron skillet last week at the flea market for 5 big ones. Spent a week reconditioning the beast and finally had it cook ready yesterday, and I wanted to break it in. so what did I do?? I did up a burger! Yeahh, patty melt style. Sort of.

The cast iron beast looked like this when I got it

Then after much elbow grease she looked beautiful and like this

That burger has fresh jalapeno mixed in the meat mixture, along with some ghost pepper salt.
Then I dusted it with some jalapeno powder fo sho! Also hadda have some caramelized onion on there. Along with some fresh picked pepperoncini from the garden

I added some cheddar cheeeeeze, and I took a french roll and and pressed it patty melt style on the skillet.
Holy hell!

Behold, my Great Meatness Burger

I am making another one for lunch. I have no choice.

Nice job on the CI ...

I've been doing my homework for the past week on reconditioning CI ...

It's a little harder w/ a pizza pan, because of the size, and that it doesn't fit into anything ...

Ended up buying a pair of cans of Easy Off and I guess I'm going to strip it by daily spraying w/ that nasty shit in a garbage bag ...

... and then bring her back w/ some rounds of bacon grease, then crisco, etc ...

Cheers!

Back off with the camera and then zoom in for the pic. The flash is killin' the color of that meat.

And MORE CHEESE!

Thanks for giving me a burger boner.

GM, that is exactly how I did it. Easy off in a garbage bag for like a week. Then I scrubbed soap and hot water, and then rescrubbed soap and hot water. Then I let it sit in vinegar/water mix for like an hour. Then I scrubbed with steel wool. More soap and hot water, and one more time soak in vinegar/water and scrubbed with a steal wool. It is amazing how well it cleaned up. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for old beat up CI everything for now on.

TB, that was just my camera phone so the zoom is nearly non-existant. The flash does kil the color, but with out it, everything looked green. I get lazy and never feel like bustin out the good cam. When I make my second round burger today I will use the good cam.

Good job on the CI, HTH. It's cool to see the transformation, and turning some p.o.s. into a useable thing of beauty.

I just whispered "Open faced Queso Sliders on a tortilla". Who needs Viagra? you're welcome TB.
