CMPMAN1974 2013 Grow Log

Well, yes I have started pepper seedlings. A bit late and slow to report here, but no worries, Sprouts are under lights. I sowed a lot of seeds on 2/15. Pretty happy with overall germination so far, except for some of the wilds. I'm happy I have 3 Tovarii plants doing well though!

Yes, I am part of AIASP.  I am involved as the U.S. English communicator.  The ICG project is a big reason they came together - to preserve varieties.

The variety that destroyed me last night...a VERY scary pod.  I felt like I had a chemical burn on the back of my throat.  A freak that showed up in the garden. I'm holding on to this bad boy for a bit.. I think it has the highest level of placental tissue of any pod I've ever grown.

Unfortunately, it's been a poor producer, but that may not be plant-specific as many of my pepper plants haven't put out much this year due to setbacks. I've only had the one ripe pod. It is unbelievably hot.

How big are these yaba?
 
I have a "not habanero" that has pods shaped like the pod of the left. kind of elongated and boxy.

I've got your not black nagas starting to ripen...the plant is prolific with huge mean pods!
