craft beer

Naturally I forgot to mention LH Milk Stout as one of the easier to drink stouts despite listing it as one of my favorites earlier in this thread. It's tasty but oddly enough I prefer it cold... go figure

my Good friend and i went half on a six of Weyerbacher Verboten and a 4 pack of Blithering Idiot

loved the Blithering Idiot and learned that i also like Barleywine
the Verboten was good but not fantastic
anyone who's never had Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot should its a true winner in my book and i like it even better than MERRY MONKS

thanks your friend Joe

This year, my local hook-up got a case at his store and I got hooked up. I have one set aside to age. Whiskey barrel aged and it is unreal! if you can find it get some.

It is probably my favorite ever brew. I've tried my damndest to get my hands on at least one every year since 2004 without having to re-mortgage the house but sometimes its too much. Can't wait to try this years.

had a few Guinness droughts at my wife real estate party tonight very nice but still got say i like the extra better!!

I had three different Guiness' Saturday. Well, actually two. The draught bottle/can and the Extra Stout. I swear though that the draught bottle and the draft can with the nitro in it are different.

Man I miss Beamish.

they are i have had both and the bottle does not have the nitrogen widget so the one in the bottle seems flatter, the one in the can with the nitrogen widget did taste a bit better
go figure it paired nicely with the Irish food i had,
i had shepherds pie, Irish beef stew and corned beef with cabbage and potatoes YUMMY!!

i know its not a Craft brew but an import, i have a FRANZISKANER WEISSBIER my friend gave me to try,he says its excellent
what do you think of it if you have had it??

i have not had it yet gotta be in the mood cause i really dont drink everyday ,im saving it for a special occasion and was just wondering what to expect

would love to here from you

thanks your friend Joe

Franzi is a great Weiss beer. I love it. Make sure you pour it correctly so you get all the goodies out of it. Pout out all but about an inch in the bottom of the bottle then swirl it around and pour out the rest. I love drinking Franziskaner on a hot day.

I second everything JT said. Franzi weiss is indeed refreshing. Good stuff.

I just came back from the beer store. Got a mixed sixer of... things. I forget right now. I'll remember as I drink em. But then as I drink I may forget.

I didn't drink a single barley wine this year, so i got two. Sierra nevada bigfoot and brooklyn monster. never had the brooklyn monster before.

Right now I am currently sippin on bell's two hearted... I was in the mood for an IPA after seeing the Ballast point. I have an IPA I just brewed up too so Im trying to get my taste buds in order.

Also I was thinkin of the sculpin and not the big eye when I commented. I actually have not had that one.

I just picked up a couple barleywines and big IPAs myself. Monster is a good one. I have DFH Olde School, Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot, and Double SImcoe and Green Flash' West Coast IPA.
