D3monic's 2015 Glog. Lots of Pods.

I had a great 2014 growing year and can't wait to get started on 2015. Had some issues with overwinters and aphids but I ditched them and nuked the basement. Here is last years Glog link

I just went through and cataloged my current seed list. Built up a bit of a collection over the course of the winter.

Edited seed list to just a drop box file on 1/31/15 CLICK HERE FOR SEED LIST If you have anything on my wanted list feel free to give me a shout.

I will keep this first page updated as I add things to the grow. Many still to get germinated.

Looking good. I'm growing some tomatillos as well. I've never grown them before. Do you treat them like tomato plants or pepper plants?
Like tomatoes, cage em they get really tall and branchy. I had two almost completly take over a 4x8 bed

Wow cool. So I probably don't need more than 2 of them. Guess I need to see what else to use them in besides salsa lol

I had two last year and more tomatillos than I knew what to do with. This year I may only do one.... haven't decided for sure yet. They start off real small and spindly but get huge mid summer.

I will be growing purple tomatillo & pineapple tomatillo I think it also called pineapple husk tomato

Just googled those, never seen purple tomatillos wonder if they taste the same, would make an interesting salsa "púrpura?"

The pineapple husk tomato looks to be the same as pineapple ground cherry tomatoes that i'm growing. I guess they go by quite a few names but they are tasty as hell and will make a bomb ass salsa.

I have those fiskars ... how about when you cut too thick a branch and the spring gnarls up some palm skin when it flexz?

I only use them for trimming and light duty work. I got heavy duty fiskars for bigger branches. I got like 5 or 6 pairs of the little ones.

Man, those are all looking real good! Those things are all going to be frigging monsters by the time you plant out!

Thanks, part of me is hopping so and the logical part of me is hoping not because i'm going to have to make more room for them. I got table I can put them all on and hang the lights over instead of the rack.

Off topic but the Yasha gobies have been coming out toward the front of the tank more often. Their tunnel is in the back of the tank behind the rock work and they usually stay close to it but the fire fish is always up front and they been trying to school with him lately.

Nice looking fish.  I haven't seen those before.

I may be wrong, but I think you need at least two tomatillos to get good pollination.  They are not as self-fertile as tomatoes.

That is my understanding to but I have read a  discussion in gardenweb before where someone was arguing you did'nt even through they  was being schooled by people in the know & they had started the topic before sometimes you can't tell some people anything even when evidence is shown to them.
