Thanks Nova- it is a pretty good process, and still have the hydro one/maybe a cross going just aways behind! Will save those seeds for you- looking forward to seeing where in the world the next pods will come from from!
Thanks LV- can't wait to see your haul this season, good growin'!
Here are mine currently. You can see how far behind they are. The bottom leaves are like that because I suck at hardening off (that's what she said.) Sorry for the cayenne plant in the back, I am lazy. Here is a bad picture of the plants:
Here is a bad picture of a lizard to make up for bad plant pics:
I tried to take a picture from the side but apparently I shouldn't take a picture when the sun is facing the camera. I will try to get one tonight so you can see how tall it is getting.
Here it is from the side, I didn't know what to use for a size comparison. Sorry it's empty. You can see all the crap burnt leaves on the bottom better, though. Top looks decent.
The sun scald looks very minor Beandip- hope somehow the weather shakes out your way. As for bad pics, I am very adept at these- good move to include distraction pics like the lizard to disorient and confuse onlookers. Good job!
Speakin of that- ate my first NN's, minced the three smalluns whole. Holding on to the bigger ones to deseed for savin'
Lovin' em!
Lastly, to end my pic spree, my smallest plant and what's in store!
I'll post the hydro one's pics up when they ripen!
Thanks. It seems to be cooling off a bit. The plant seems to be growing well now that they can stay outside. The worst part about the sun scald is that they were only outside for 5-6 minutes before I looked out and the plant was basically bent over and wilted. I took it right back in and when it stood up again, the bottom leaves were crispy. Happened to all three plants but you can only really see it on the larger one.
Thanks Smariotti. Old boba would be a pretty good one. I'll probably keep my ugly mug gnawin on my fish for a bit though, lol.
Well, tore in to the Naga and had a bit of hiccup and eye tearing. Love that distinctive flavor. Took a bit longer to burn than I expected, had a really clean powerful heat when it did, no sharp bitterness like some of my hot stuff I've ate on this year. Instant staple in my garden!
This cold weather seems to have spurred my plant along. We're getting down into the single digits the last few nights (mid to upper-30s for the Yanks) so I thought I'd snap a pic in front of my monitor with a pic of the same plant taken about a week ago on it. My Canucks Frosty Mug gives it some proportion. I'm going to overwinter this one and should have a fantastic plant for next year. I can't wait for the heat! I've got just the friend to try it with. All I have to do is tell him he can't take it
Here's one more side shot of all of them. It's in the dark but it's not like I could do better in the day time anyway. That's my fence in the background that I didn't finish staining. All the new growth is good.
