Giant Pumpkin+veg. GLOG!!!

yeah you'll know when you get one, it will be more than twice the size of any other flower that comes up!
You can see the difference in size in this photo. That sort is more rare, it had its own stalk and little flowers grew out of the base of the mega bloom.  Most other regular fused blooms are on a stalk shared with other regular flowers, but you'll still be able to see the difference.  You can still get a bloody big tomato out of a regular fused bloom, but one of those mega mega blooms with its own stalk might get you a world record.

This is the tomato I have growing now, its not from that flower above, this is on my outdoor hydroponic plant, the one with good genetics, but I dont know the actual history.

Wow that's a monster!!! I was told by Master P (Guy with the record tomato) that the genetics are there for multiple mega and fused blooms. You just have to be careful when pollinating. I doubt I will get a world record but I do want a huge tom, Master P is easily one of the nicest most generous people on the pumpkin forum. I posted asking for seeds, seconds later Master P was there offering.

Well I got my heat mat ordered and on the way so hopefully I can see better germination soon. Will keep everyone posted, pictures will be coming soon because I can't seem to keep up with Rahe!

I will for sure!

Two days and the Rahe has put on 7 inches.  Taping at 175 inches which puts me at 125lb/56.8kg which is a personal record!
Its hard to tell from photos but it sure is looking heavy when I stand right next to it.  Its changing shape, getting longer it seems rather than alot wider.  The circumference measurement is the one that is always bigger than end to end and perpendicular.

Nice plants guys.

A few weeks ago I found a packet of Dill's Atlantic Giants from the Livingston Seed Company at the local garden store. I got my first sprout on Friday.

Here it is on April 3rd:

And on April 5th:

Here is a Jumbo Pink Banana Squash sprout. They are supposed to get between 30 and 60 pounds.

Only about 4 weeks until I will be sowing my pumpkins:
 1. Big max
 2. Big Moon
 3. Connecticut Field
 4. Dill's Atlantic
 5. First Prize
 6. Goosebumps

I bent the stem for the first leaf on my Rahe after trying to cover it to protect from the cold. Darn!!!!!!

EDIT: It doesn't look too bad. After closer inspection there is no cracks just a bend in the stem. I propped the stem up on a cinder block hoping that will help it fix itself. It is just growing too fast that the box I used last week no longer fits over it. This pumpkin caught up to my orginal ones in a couple weeks where as the old ones took two months. I blame it on genetics.

Dont worry too much about leaves or even vines, you can bend and kink them and they still keep growing on the other side.  I've even had vines split open and go flat and the vine keeps going ok.  Fairly durable until something is actually severed

Just was worried at first because it happened to the big moon and it killed that leaf. Difference was that the big moon actually had a nice split in it. Rahe is getting so big, I will take pics later today.

What a difference 6 days make. Last picture was taken April 2nd, these were taken 5 minutes ago...

Pictures aren't that good so hopefully growth is visible.

Thats looking good! Looking bigger all around and I can see the new growth coming up the middle!  I think this is where its going to pop out a vine!

Orange pumpkin porn!  Some really really nice looking orange pumpkins in here! I know they dont get as big as the other pumpkins that are bred for size only, but there is something special about an orange pumpkin.

It looks all twisty crazy right in the middle, two leaves, then what almost looks like flower buds and "tendrils". It is going great I say 4-5 weeks until vine lays down... Orange pumpkins are where it's at, something special about them.

Yeah it sure does look like everything is coming up in the middle, I'm pretty excited! They grow up so fast...*sniff*

Well here is my sunflower, had to imagine in a couple months this thing will be 14 feet tall with a 26 inch flower head on it.
