beer =[ GM's 1st 16x Batches, and/or 10 mo. Brewing ]=

Got the programmable controllers that I wanted (STC-1000+), but used a build service because of the time savings inherent in doing so.

Time build my kettle, now.

not common in homes at all far as i can tell. in commercial construction its virtually every where.

in the south we mostly just throw down hay and saw dust. we usually have several barn cats around to root out the mice and possums living therein.

It's nothing I can't change later, so I'll look into that ...

Sweet!

yes, indeed, much better to work with - thx!

i am pondering how it can be ok for the bazooka screen to touch the heating element in terms of electricity, grounding ...

the steel is not the conductor. its usually a wire inside surrounded by diaelectric material kinda like dry puddy. the steel is for corrosion resistance and temperatures.

for low power heating elements anyway... stove elements are way different.

i have to do real work as priority tomorrow, but i'm hoping to slay such that i can make the time to try to run cleaner and sanitizer through it ... i have to install and program the temp controllers for the freezers first, anyways.

Awesome!!! You will be a proffesional beer maker

Still have a world of shit to learn and experience, but I've tried to get the all of the equipment under programmable controllers so that I can brew amidst working a lot. The boil will still be manual, as it should be imho, but the mash can be left unattended and the wort chilling should be under 3 minutes using the pump to move the wort through the plate chiller (cooled w/ tap) and over the immersion chiller (cooled w/ ice water) at the same time.

So, should give me two billable hours back for work from brewing (90 min mash, 30-45 min wort-chilling), and make 3 gals of pretty damn good beer for getting 90 mins ea for mash and boil.

We're going to see, sooner than later now!
