off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning everyone. Busy morning ahead, the usual for the first week of the month. We had another birthday meal with daughter and others, but the more $$$ one will be with the whole family later in the month. How can a restaurant charge separately for a steak, a potato, and a vegetable? Separately?

The peppers are coming along slowly, with way too many Annuums than needed. I hope to find more sources for give aways before they're potted up, people that have grow lights anyway.

Hope your day is filled with joy. Glad to hear the gals are feeling better. That crud can last for weeks. Stay safe.

Chores and getting a walk in. Got my bike for The Dirty Pecan 200 ready so thats all done. Have a wonderful day and good morning.

Good morning everyone. Harry, now that your peppers are potted up, when do you start fertilizing them, and with what?

The sun is out, it’s a bit windy, but looks to be a beautiful week ahead with warmer than March temps. Nice bike, Sic, best of luck with hard pedaling at The Dirty Pecan 200.

Hope your day is a bright one. Respect the earth and it’s bounty. Stay healthy.

Good morning.  It's 39 with a projected high of 60.  Red flag warning for fires today.  Very windy and very low humidity.  Catherine .... I pot-up using primarily Ocean Forest (it's the highest % in the mix) and I'll give them a shot of that Alaska fish fertilizer (I can't remember which one .... I'll look this evening) a few weeks before they go outside.  Looks like a normal meeting schedule today.  We're going to our granddaughter's school program this evening.  Not sure how this COVID 19 thing is going to play out.  We're totally grounded at work for now.  No travel anywhere unless absolutely necessary for customer needs.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. Best to Sic on Saturday’s ride in the Dirty Pecan 2020. It looked like there were a few obstacles - like traffic!

Thanks for the pepper info, Harry. I like Fox Farms soil and usually mix some coir into it, but have none right now. The nearest nursery has none either, so I’ve been using straight Ocean Forest or Happy Frog. I’m starting tomatoes later this year as we'll be gone the middle of May - if travel allows - so I don’t want the plants too tall/big.

Have a wonderful day and stay healthy.

Good morning.  Arrived at the office this morning to find my office completely covered in toilet paper.  I guess some of my co-workers will be celebrating my 60th with me!  It's 31 on its way to 56 and the WX looks good for the weekend.  It's going to be busy weekend with chores and more pepper potting.  I've had around 600 seeds germinate so far ... and more to come.  Anything not germinated by the 14th will be tossed as I need the room for seedlings.  I will have many plants to give away.  Probably do some grilling and beverage consumption this evening.  We'll have our granddaughter this weekend too.  Be safe and be good.

good morning all

been busy busy, but thats a good thing

my overwinters suddenly woke up this week and have put on lots of new growth with nothing but occasional watering all winter, might have to supplement them a bit before plant out
i'm still behind on my annuum seedlings but they grow fast enough i'm not to concerned, plenty of time between now and the end of May when the night temps are warm enough to plant out

best of luck for a fun and safe race at the Dirty Pecan, Sicman

hope everyone has had a wonderful week and have a great weekend

Good morning, everyone. It looks to be a warm and spring like weekend coming up - maybe a great day for Harry's birthday. I hope to pot up a few more peppers tonight - nothing like Harry's horde.

Have a great weekend. Sic is busy with his bike race, Harry is celebrating with co-workers. It should be a beautiful weekend.

Happy Birthday, Harry.

Good morning everyone. Today is the official Harry Dangler birthday - hope it’s a great celebration.

I'm going to the muddy CG to see if the garlic has sprouted and hopefully scatter a bit of fertilizer on it. The weather looks warmer with a chance of rain. March is usually our snowiest month, but I believe we have already had enough snow.

Have a wonderful Saturday and keep healthy.

Good morning everyone. Daylight Savings - not my cup of tea. In the CG, I only saw a few garlic barely sprouting, none at home. The pepper sprouts are still small and I hope to finish transplanting the hotter ones today. I’ve been attempting to plan which ones/how many to keep with our limited space.

I hope the race was a great accomplishment, Sic. Let us know.

Harry's birthday must have been a great day, too.

Hope you all have an enjoyable Sunday. Stay healthy.

Happy Birthday Harry. Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life. I was in some dark places and in lots of pain. 205 miles of clay, sand and gravel with over 6000 feet of climbing destroyed me. When we started it was 38 and 35 when we finished. Never hit 60. Registration was open to 500 and 500 showed. Only 20 of us opted for the 200 mile course only 4 of us finished. I do feel accomplished. Anyways hope everyone has a fantastic day. I'm going to relax. Good morning.
