off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning everyone. Cloudy in more ways than one - work from home, schools closed for the next 2-3 weeks, church buildings closed. Panic at most of the stores. We just drive by and see the parking lots filled to capacity.  Like GIP says, thank goodness for home gardens, canned and frozen foods, and not panicking. I'm going to walk the mall with a friend this AM, believing  the crowds there will be few and far between.

So sad to hear about GIP's wife's great swimmers not being able to show their abilities. Let them know they are great girls.

Have a wonderful day, enjoy what is given to you, and respect the earth. Pay it forward.

Good morning. It looks like my company will be implementing exceptional measures for at least 7 weeks.  Working from home that long .... :banghead: .  This might be my last day in the office for awhile.  I expect there will be lots of monkey motion at work today while we make plans for business continuity.  It's 37 and raining with a high of 47 projected for the day.  Not much else going on.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning all :)

34/1 here at the moment and its barely snowing, few large flakes forming, no snow predicted in the forecast though, in fact tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and in the 40's F

The back yard, and garden are mostly mud right now but, raked back some mulch and guess what Catherine ?
GARLIC'S are popping up  that was a happy sight to see
Tulips are showing their first leaves along the side of the house

Looks like i'm having about a 50% success rate with my C. pubescens clones off my overwinters on the plant table

might start more ornamental's this year and work on my Bonchi training, i'd like to do the whole mini 'tree' in an Emu egg thing again, i really liked how that turned out last time, but i think after a certain point will have to feed hydro nutrients, there is only so much room amongst the media for roots in an Emu egg

Good morning.  First day working from home.  We'll see how it works out.  It's 39 on its way 53.  Fairly busy schedule today.  It's all teleconferences and video calls now.  I now work 30 feet away from seedling room.  I can keep an eye on it .... LOL.  Not much else happening.  Going to make the coffee now.  Be safe and be good.

Good afternoon. It was a very busy morning delivering Danish to many people since the places we share them with are now closed. The homeless at the Mission were more than pleased to be spoiled for a day. Just planted broccoli seeds - 2 kinds - hoping for a great broccoli harvest.

GIP - it's exciting to hear your garlic has sprouted! It sure is nice to hear they will be soon in your pantry. I haven't been to the CG yet, but I can see a few are sprouting at home. I only planted the few leftovers here, peeled the rest, and dried most of it. It's my favorite crop since it's so easy. I also love the pepper tree growing so well. You've done a nice job it.

Hope you all have a productive and enjoyable day. Keep busy and stay healthy. I have a few books to read that I never found time to read.

Good morning.  Not sure I like this working from home stuff.  Seems to be a big drain on bandwidth and infrastructure with everybody working from home.  The network access is very slow.  Anyway, it's raining and 49 on its way to 65.  We might try to open up the house a little today and tomorrow.  Tomorrow they're forecasting 75 but on Friday it will be winter again.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining, getting ready for snow/rain tonight and most of tomorrow, heading Harry’s way.

Yes, GIP - S,M.I.L.E.  We are cat-sitting for a Maine Coon, beautiful tortie who gets into everything. She is definitely a people watcher but keeps her distance for now, and is our entertainment.

Hope your day keeps you safe and healthy. Respect the earth and enjoy it’s bounty.

Good morning all :)

38/3 with a projected high of 44/6 this afternoon, supposed to rain this afternoon and stay under 40F through the weekend
looks like it's about to get even more muddy

be safe, be kind, unwind, and S.M.I.L.E. :D

Good morning everyone. Yesterday I spent an hour or so checking out the garden at home, weeding, and watching for new growth from the perennials. The garlic is doing well along with the iris, too early for most perennials. We took our last walk at the nearly abandoned mall, and they have now closed it for awhile. Today’s rain keeps us home and inside, just waiting for the snow.

I hope your day goes well also. Enjoy what you have, respect the earth, and help others.

Good morning.  Going to work in my home office for a few hours and then we're going to run some errands.  I haven't been off the farm in a few days.  Going to venture into town and see what's going on.  They closed all restaurants and bars in the county yesterday and declared a state of local emergency.  Not sure what that means.  It's turned back to winter with cold howling winds. It's 40 now with a high of 40 (how about that).  Be safe and be good.

Good morning everyone. A beautiful blanket of snow covers the landscape and keeps me from garden chores. It looks like a usual March Spring day except for less travel. Our trip to Europe has just been cancelled, maybe they will offer something extra in the future, but I’m not holding my breath. Bummer.

The peppers are looking pretty good, a few look a bit jaundiced, but they, too, will survive. I’ve been re-planning the garden to add a couple more tomatoes and Biker Billy jalapeños, deciding not to grow cabbages.

Have a great day ahead and stay healthy. Respect the earth, and help others in this time of need.
