off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. It's 41F on its way to 50F. It's gonna be a wonderful day in the neighborhood. The polar vortex returns from its brief hiatus tomorrow. We should have substantial melting today. I guess tomorrow it will be frozen mud :banghead:. Ice melt spreading near the driveway pad and futzing around in the seedling room today. I did a seed starting supply inventory and I only need one large bag of ocean forest. My wife is going to stop and get that today (from the farm store) while she's out picking up our granddaughter. The kiddos will be here for the weekend. Chicken fingers evening. Be safe and be good.
 
Good morning. 13-47F with snow tonight. Coffee group, lunch with friends, grocery store, then waiting for the cold. Bean weevils - I had never heard of them until last year when my unfrozen beans-to-plant stock had to be purchased. Last year was the first year I froze beans for 3 days. Now to deal with the Japanese beetles.

Good morning. It's 36F, on its way to 45F. Drizzle this morning, clearing this afternoon. Last "warm" day for a while. Have a few errands to run, then home and watch some NFL. I might be able to squeeze a futz or two in as well. Hope everybody has a super Saturday. Be safe and stay warm.
 
Good morning. It's 8F (RF -9F) on its way to 17F. Breezy and frigid. Staying indoors. The kiddos will get picked up later on today. Fixing a big breakfast in a bit. @ DR: How bout those Commanders! That 1st half was incredible. I was questioning the defenses :rolleyes:. Today, I'm watching futbol/football and doing some casual futzing in the seed starting room. I might try to get some reading in. Chicken sandwiches this evening. Be safe and be good.
 
Good morning. It’s -5F on its way to 20. The streets are sill white but the driveway is cleared in case we’re going somewhere. Yesterday I got almost all of my seeds organized. Today I should work on the basement gardening stuff. Too cold to do much there. Guess it’s Netflix or some other TV entertainment.

Good morning. It's overcast and 36F, on its way to 30F :crazy:. Calling for 3-6" of snow today. 12F tonight. Great. How 'bout them Commanders, indeed! I was hopeful, but I must say I'm surprised at how well they played (stopping the run excluded). I think they could have beat anybody last night. Onward and upward, as they say. The Chiefs seemed a little rusty, but still did their thing. Anyway, today is watch it snow day, with a little NFL thrown in. Hope everybody has a restful and peaceful Sunday. Good morning. It's sunny and 19F, on its way to 21F. "The start of a prolonged cold wave", the WXGuesser says. Forecasting 3F for tonight. Definitely brr kinda weather. It was nice watching it snow yesterday. BIG flakes. Probably got 4-5", I would guess. I'll go out and push some snow around later. Crazy game last night. CFB tonight. 10 going to 20. Nice and sunny. I don’t care as long as the sun is out. Will go for a walk today since the knee is feeling up to it.

I have a sun room I built on the deck outside my sliding glass window of my bedroom. It was 85 out there the other day when it was 27 out. Nice place to have coffee or lunch and read a book. I turn the heater off in my room and the sun room keeps my room 70-72 most of the day.

Good morning. It's -6F headed to 23F. Running on back-up heat. Frigid and clear. I'm holding down the fort this morning while my wife heads north to meet with our son for breakfast and then she's going to run some errands. Casual futzing for me today. Nothing else is going on. Good morning. It's cloudy and 5F, on its way to 20F. Pushed snow around yesterday, and it was cold out there. More brr. Today is a misc futz day. Might spend some time in the plant room, but there's only so much I can do. Almost all my planting stuff is nicely packed away down in that little shed I built last Summer, which I can't get to because of the snow, ha. Great planning, I guess 🤷‍♂️. Snow doesn't usually last this long, it melts. None of that going on. This brutal cold is a pain in the azz. Anyway, off to futz. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Good morning. -5 to 40(!). Hopefully this warm up will last a few more days. Errands to run this AM and maybe shopping. Hubby has his yearly sick mode going so I’ll be wearing a mask around him. January is really not my favorite month.
Stay warmer in this weather. We’re starting to watch a few older series on TV. Somehow I get hooked (?!) on a show.
 
Good morning. It's 21F on its way to 35F. Cloudy and breezy. We still have at least a 8" thick snow/ice blanket that has been with us for almost 3 weeks. I'd welcome the mud if this white shite would melt off. Casual futzing this morning. We've got a meeting up in the city this afternoon. Gonna hit the Chinese buffet after that. Be safe and be good.
