off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning all! I must have overdone it with the fresh super hots last night, because I was absolutely cooking in my sleep. I really didn't get the best night of rest, and the coffee is barely cutting through the fog right now. And then it got windy and started dumping rain a little bit ago, forcing my wife and I to go out and move all of my pepper plants together. The forecast is calling for 40 mph gusts today, and that's a recipe for some snapped limbs on my plants. Hopefully clustering them together will prevent that from happening.

Have a great day everyone. Since the weather decided to water my plants for me, I'm going to take it easy today. Perfect book reading weather.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 68F, on its way to 86F. Maybe some sun this afternoon, as well as a heavy thunderstorm, with local flash flooding possible. Great. Here we go again, lol. Worked on cleaning up the carport and stowing away all the plant pots, trays and potting mix yesterday. With all this rain lately, the mosquitoes have come out in force. They suck. Today is pick peppers day, I think. Safe travels, Harry, and have a great time. Hope everybody has a super Saturday. Be safe out there and be sure the bug spray is DEET-free.

Good morning. Yesterday was filled with Labor Day shopping so maybe today we can stay home and enjoy the garden weeding and Jap beetle catching. Those ravenous pests should have left the planet by now. Nope. Same with grasshoppers. Have been re-thinking what to grow next year that those bugs don’t bother.
Enjoy your holiday weekend. Don’t work too hard and enjoy Mother Natures beauty.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 68F, on its way to 82F. Same forecast as yesterday; showers and a chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon. The WX guessers got it right yesterday. Thunderstorms rolled through late afternoon. Got almost 2" of rain. No need to water the garden today, ha. Sister is back in town, so we'll probably head over to Mom's this afternoon. Hope everybody has a peaceful and restful Sunday. Be safe out there and enjoy time with family.

Thanks, Downriver. I do have geraniums in my garden area, but not as many as I need!! I’m sure these pests will be munching on whatever I’m growing. Last year it was hyssop. This year all of my pole beans. Next year will probably be whatever I grow. Thanks for the flower research link. If you see any good pesticides for their eradication, please let me know.

Good morning. It's cloudy and 66F, on its way to 77F. Calling for partly sunny and pleasant. Sounds good to me. Didn't get but a little shower yesterday, which was ok with me. Need to head down to the garden today and see what's ready for picking. Might be heading to Mexican tonight. It's Margarita Monday! 🍹Hope everybody has a marvelous Monday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. Busy AM at the CG watering, weeding, talking. Now at home to dig up ‘old’ plants and get new colors for Spring. It’s a good time for change.
We still have 91F temps, but the cool nights are quite welcome.
Have a great holiday and don’t labor too much. Stay hydrated along with your pets.

Good morning. It's sunny and 59F, on its way to 72F. Beautiful day today. Supposed to be like this all week. Great weather to get some things done outside. Late start this morning, but the 🍹 were good last night! Plan on doing some more tree trimming today. Starting to get late in the year for that, so I better get busy. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. Looks like a couple of cooler days to get outdoor chores done, like digging out a few plants. Maybe it’ll rain and we can enjoy the day inside. CG has lots of weeds that one gardener has neglected. Maybe we can work on that.
💤💤💤 to Sic.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. Enjoy nature’s beauty and even the weeds.

Good morning. It's sunny and 49F, on its way to 74F. A tad chilly this morning. I think it's gonna be a looong Winter, lol. Yesterday, I whacked off a tree branch starting to hang over the house; probably 8" in diameter. Took a few hours to chop it up and throw it on the trailer. Today, I'll haul it down to the garden and run the smaller branches through the chipper/shredder. The jury is still out on that whole process. Maybe I'll decide today whether it's worth doing. Sic, have a margarita or two. That'll help you sleep. 😴 Hope everybody has a wonderful Wednesday. Be safe out there and enjoy the outdoors.

Ended up doing a lot last evening. Got started on a clean up job and was at the property till dark. We got a gnarly storm and lots of rain which had us hiding in a barn for a hour but still got a lot done. Slept very hard. Have Dr. Bens today and then back to that property. Have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. It's sunny and 53F, on its way to 74F. Another pretty day. Found out we had a few errands to run yesterday, so I didn't get to the tree branch shredding. That's now on today's list. Also, might do some grass cutting. We'll see. I wonder if this cool weather is hitting Harry up in CN, and if so, how that's affecting the fishing? And, I saw Denver was still in the 90s. What's up with that? It's September, lol. Glad you got some rest, Sic. Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe out there and enjoy my beautiful weather, lol.

Good morning. Yesterday a fellow CG gardener and I hauled a huge mound of weeds he had pulled from another area. I hope that doesn’t happen again, but am sure it could. We had blessed rain and cooler temps last night. Downriver is right, it’s going to be a long winter. I’m ready for time away from weeding.
Baby layettes and an eye Dr. appt. today, peaches and tomatoes to freeze.
Have a wonderful Thursday. Enjoy the cooler weather when you can. Thank a vet.
