contest Growdown Throwdown 2014 Tallest plant

C'mon John!!! I just planted mine in with the Grass as RJ pointed out...they're doing alright. You were a strong closer last year so I don't think you're done. I hear you on the too busy part though. I have two weeks leave starting Friday and I am still worried I won't be able to get everything done before I have to go back to only home on weekends.

I grew it a couple years ago, I would be pissed if it was a first time for me. Grass is growing in my garden spot so I am out of room officially. The plant is not growing good roots, that is a must for this contest. I have left no stone unturned. Repotted,pH perfect water, the works. No big deal, too much going on right now and I bit off way more than I can chew this year.

It was frozen in time. I have never seen anything like it. Not even locked up though, just weird. It was dark green...phosphorous issue?? Baffled. A pot up will usually fix them in a couple weeks if you don't mess with them. Two plants it happened to and both were frutescens. No roots on either plant. I grew a chuncho a couple years back and it was a hunter green stud. I was impressed with it,one of my nicest plants that year.
Send it to me. I'll throw it in the compost bed with my contestant.
Which, by the way, is about to go into holy f$@k mode. Main stem is getting BEEFY. Lots of root growth happing right now.

UPDATE TIME

So, things are starting to take off now. I can tell my root zones are happy cities of diverse, nutrient uptake specialists. When the main stems start bulking rapidly, to the point of no longer being round, but instead start taking on the shapes of channels with valleys, you know its happening. Especially when the new growth stems are still round and when you observe the convergence of it and the main stem, and the difference is quite notable. Almost like two differently colored rivers converging...Or like a nice cold black and tan

Any how, I'll start with the 2014 grow down contestants. Aji Chuncho. These peppers are like miniature, Peruvian bird peppers with the taste of a Bhut and the heat of a Tabasco. Frutescens. Last year my plant in the #45 air pruning container got huge and PUMPED out the pods. Hoping for an even better result this year!

Last year...

All the other plants in this 20 x 20 spot are doing great. I guess he's just building up his roots. He'll probably go Jack n the Beanstalk on us any day now.

Wow!  I've still got catching up to do.  Might be time to contact Monsanto.  I think Pepper-Guru's photo from last year's chuncho is a scary thing.
Better not send em my way. I have lookouts on duty round the clock for those types!

Just think; that was in a container...this year it has its own compost/mulch pile!

I tried to Quote your reply with all the photos, but they wouldn't load. So, I deleted/edited my reply. What I had wanted to say was that I thought I saw a smallish rabbit in one of your chuncho photos. I'm sure it was nothing...
