Growing Chiles in HEL - 2020

So this is it folks, I've recovered my password and bought 10 seedlings today from Jukka "Fatalii" Kilpinen. Didn't start any of my own seeds due to laziness, though I still might start some to sell.

Rocotos went outside and they're not coming back in. They are dropping a lot of leaves now because I am unable to keep them hydrated in the small pots. Potting up tomorrow.
 
Hmm, seems I can't upload photos now since my Extreme Membership expired and since I am banned from paypal there is no way to pay for it.
 
Damn. Would be great if the site would just accept credit card payments. Sent The HotPepper a DM a few days ago about the situation but didn't get any response.

Yeah it's a shame because I have no shortage of money but I am unable to support the site due to being banned from both PayPal Europe and PayPal USA. And the site doesn't accept any other payment method than PayPal.
 
Maybe you could sent them a money order or check.
I can’t believe they wouldn’t accommodate your
situation, being a good forum citizen and all.  ;)

Those kind of financial instruments haven't existed in Finland for over 30 years. Western Union would be possible, but I can not manage to get a response from the admin on the topic.

I would like to support the site. Just can't use fucking PayPal as I have a permanent ban due to moving money overseas from US to EU accounts and they didn't like it.

Sure, I understand. But if you're stuck and there's no response from THP, it's at least a way to put up the pictures you have in the meantime.
 
PayPal is so painfully arbitrary...

I have money but I can't pay with PayPal. Until my account is reinstated without PayPal there will be no more updates.
 
Please let me pay with western union or something. I have money. Paypal will not work for me. I want to be part of the community. Somebody please poke THP.

Another option is a personal domain. I own devtex.net, Networksolutions hosts it. It's about $150 a year, and there are a lot cheaper options out there. For now some old customers still cover the costs via their email accounts.

Thanks, Paul, bro, that means a lot to me man. Problem is that if you were able to pay for my account then I could also do it myself. The problem lies purely in the way the payment technology is tied to membership in this forum. There is nothing that you can do without engaging THP on this matter and if he won't engage with me then I don't see how he would engage with you.

There is a "gift a membership " option in the store of this site. I have no clue how any of that actually works, but wouldn't that be an option or does that still go thru pay pal?
 
Yeah OK, if somebody wants to gift me a membership then send me a PM and I will buy you something of equal value from your Amazon wishlist. If that works for you.
