All kinds of healthy looking green plants....that should make the outdoor start pleasueable.

Sorry to say, your weather is no better than mine........ :violin: .......But things are looking up with the 50's coming in this week.

Early May will be the usual challange....protect the plants from the mild frost....protect the plants from the sunburn....I can't wait ...bring it on !

Mine won't make it in the ground until mid to late May.  Second week of May or so I will start the hardening off.  I believe May 20 something last year I had to come home from a fishing outing to turn a garage bay into a heated tent, and then when I planted out, the next weekend hit low low low 40s.  I'll cover the dining room table in plants if I have to before I let months of work go kaput and be pepperless for the season.  I am thinking about some sort of sun screen.  SPF 50 perhaps :)

Bright lights that popped on the 10th is getting its first trues coming on.  6 days out of the ground and 9 days since planting.  Hope this scratches my itch for 13 more days lol....neon chard still hasn't hooked.  Been three days so it should hook today.

Doing some pot ups into gallons this morning and had a slight mishap.  When I was doing a HBJ3, which had a great root ball, the plant became separated from the root ball.  There is still the main root and some feeder roots on the plant, so I hope it makes it.  Will probably shock like crazy, but hopefully it makes it.

The good news is I probably will have room in my next round to fix some accidents.

Okay, who ordered this crap???

I hope that propane tank doesn't need to be filled anytime soon. They are going to have a hard time getting there.

I heat with wood so the propane tank is just for the cook stove.  Hoping the natural gas line comes the rest of the way down my road this year.  It is much cheaper.

A typical February prank.

February is suppose to be our snowiest month.  Get this snow in late March/April....then its a really bad prank.

Oh god, the snow. Glad I'm down here.

Until someone spills ice water again :P

Wow Jeff!

I haven't been in snow like that since Jan. '78, 18" followed by 36". One thing I can say is when it melts the ground will be nice and wet, something that's rare around here these days.

That's about 40"s on the ground? Are you harvesting any for watering the plants?

That HBJ3 kick back in, it's still under lights. I separated many plants yesterday and I know I had to tear some roots, in fact I know I did. They haven't missed a beat.

Stay warm Bro!

The HBJ drooped down again.  Added more water and it is picking back up.  I think I am going to have to keep a constant watch on it until it develops some better roots.

41 degrees out.  The snow on my workshop roof has separated at the peak and is slowly migrating south.  Suppose to hit 50 on Thursday with rain.  Loving it.

Had time for some lunch...4 legged chicken!!!

Not saving any snow for watering.  Think I should?  Is it better than tap?

I think we have had 67 inches of snow this winter.  Top 5 of all time.  I think the bad one in 78-79 came all at once whereas this has been spread out.  Hope it goes away soon.
