Nice to (randomly) catch up with Megamoo today at the Chilli Festival. Thanks for the hot sauces, mate!
My mate just got home and checked out some of the plants he inherited from you, via myself, and he's got two got two fat moruga pods hiding under the leaves. Trying to get him to embrace the forum for the pod porn sharing
FINALLY all my superhots that were producing rock hard flowers with no pollen have started to have flowers with pollen...only took until the end of the season...
I think the soil from good life soil and the ferts i was giving it were way to strong (had crinkled leaves permanently...)
So after a few months of not doing anything but water seems like they might have come good...
BUT NOW THERE IS BLOODY APHIDS ALL OVER...man the pyrenthum oil
That's funny, ferozaj. My slow growing plants with lots of flower drop have just started to go nuts with pods. ALso in Green Life soil.
I've been dropping flowers like no ones business too! Start of the season was good going..mid to end of season I've had almost nothing.
Looks like I might be hanging onto a few super hots now. Super hots are wayyy to sensitive. My normal not so hot chilies hang on to pods no matter what!
Nice reaper. I know what you mean about them getting too much to look after. It's hard to find the motivation to get out there when half of the pods are chucked out. I deliberately set up my watering to be automatic so it would keep them going without my attention.
Welcome to Perth growing boys!
My theory has been that you get a flush of pods at the beginning of Summer, then when the heat kicks in all you are doing is trying to keep them alive(imagine us sitting out in the sun all day with little water).
Then Autumn BAM everything kicks in with lots of flower/pods and growth.
Here is a piccy of my Hydro Channel finally finding it's groove with the cooler weather
Happy Chilli Growing,
Micca
