Very nice harvest pictures! That "The no so Chocolate Scotch Bonnet" looks a lot like the pods I've been pulling from my Hab. Long Chocolate.

Thanks, I tasted it taste night and it taste nothing like a hab. I also have 2 plants like that and a third that grows the wine color. I need to look back through my grow log. I have no idea where these plants came from!!! The chocolate scotch is the only one I grew outside the Jamaican chocolate from seed. These guys came from a pod from last year..silly OPP :)

Finally dried the Habaneros for my first powder. Smoked the Jalapeno's 4 hours and then dried them the rest of the way and added them to the habs. Came out really tasty with the Apple wood smoke comming through nicely, not over powering. I think if i had used say Mesquite, Hickory, Oak or some other smoking wood like that the 4 hours would have been way too long but the electric smoker was perfect for smoking them up nicely. I'm begining to really like that thing.

RM, that is awesome, smokers and powders are addicting! I agree, any hardwood would ruin the flavor imo and I only use fruit woods with the exception of Alder wood that I plan to phase in. I am getting ready to slice a few trays worth of super hots and put them over cherry and alder wood for a few hours.

DN, I have not. I really try to use fruit trees only just because you always read of the poisons in other woods. True or untrue I am sure pecan wood would be nice.

Anyone in the market for some smoked powders? Thinking about grinding some up and throwing them in the marketplace. I am going to try them tomorrow after they are 100% dry and grind a small batch.

Dang Chris, that Butch T, Naga and Bhut blend looks great, love the dark red color but I'm betting it's going to be brutally hot :flamethrower: :fireball:
Love it!

Well, nuts are kinda fruits, lol. Seriously, your two batches there look awesome. Sorry if I missed it, but how long do you leave them on the smoker?

I smoked these 4 hours because I wanted to smoke and dry them at same time. If I we going to make a sauce, I'd do maybe an hour or a little more. I loved the color on them. turned out to be an ounce of the Butch T, Naga, Bhut blend. I also set a few aside for a friend and his soups. Going to grind a few to test the heat and flavor.

Thanks, I'll know how hot today. :fireball:

Torn, this branch weighs 5 pounds easily with these Giant Jalapenos. If I stake it I am scared it will break and if I do nothing I fear it will do the same. I want to allow these pods to all turn red.
