nice list of heat Grant...

are you sure 50% germination is all you ill get?...

a difference in your method and mine is the depth you plant your seeds...3mm...geez, that is just barely under the surface...I am curious as to how many have "helmets" on when they "hook"...

the main reason I plant deeper (1 Cm or so) is to keep the seeds moist...IMO too shallow will let them dry out quicker and you don't want that to happen...

anyway, I hope you have a great grow mate....

I get almost 100% germination, I just grow heaps more so I can get the better growers, I cull the rest,
3mm just under the surface has been working for me probably cause of the humidity under the dome, also I mist them almost each day
out of all the seeds sprouting this year I only have 3 so far that are having trouble with helmets...maybe its because of the pre soak I give them????
thanks AJ

Man that looks like a lot of work. Good luck Grant.

It has its days

holy shit! this is going to be :hot:

I'm planning on making alot of sauces soon and I need all the superhot for them

So you use chamomile tea for the pre-soak JR??
Is that just commercially brought style or do you have your own blend??

I have been using just weak plain tea on a few of mine as a mini experiment, not far enough into the experiment to say if it is working or not.

Based on what JR and others said this season I've started using chamomile tea. Made a cup then let it cool, diluted it half in water and soaked the seeds for 24 hrs, then planted them into seed raising mix. It's been a week and a few days and so far I have three each of two different varieties pop up. No helmets. :D It looks like more is about to happen too. I'll have to wait to see the final germination rate. Good so far.

Cowabunga, Grant! :onfire:

That's at about the same strength I brew mine. :D

Trippa, don't know which one JR uses, but I just go the Nerada organic camomile tea bags and they do the trick.

Interesting about the chamomile, I'll play around with some of my left over seeds to find a good brew to help once our winter rolls around...
