Great start MW. Let's hope for better weather this season.

I will second that. All the water we had last year with the up and down in temps did not help plant growth.

Thanks AJ.

Last year I got a bag from Smokemaster that had a bunch of unknown seeds in it. These are all the Pubes from that bag. Most of them germinating after less than a week.

Nice!

do you plant more than one seeed in each cell?

after they sprotu will you seperate them when you pot up an dput them in theyre own container or garden location?

Most cells I planted two seeds. I will only let one per cell live unless I have six seeds in three cells sprout, then I will cull two and let the one cell grow twp plants in it, just for fun.

However, I am having a problem. On the earliest sprouts, the cotyledons are curling downward and almost touching the stem. I am concerned about this. It might just be the low temp that is in the detached garage but it might be a humidity problem as well. Any ideas anyone? I will post some pictures here in a little while.

They have just as much light as they had last year and everything went perfectly, maybe too much light. They are running 24/7 for warmth. Humidity stays between 50-55%.

i had a similar problem with drooping (although not almost touching the stem) and I had no idea why..it was suggested to me that it may have been a lack of heat or maybe too wet at that age, but as soon as the true leaves started forming the problem disappeared. Not sure, but as long as the real leaves aren't doing it, I'm happy.

Forgive the shitty shots, havent figured out how to use the macro on my new camera.

They just look sad.

And I though this one was cool. One side is split just a little bit.

Noah mine are doing the same thing. It gets down to 62F at night here and I'm thinking that's the problem. I've fed them a watered down nute solution too. A couple have started producing true leaves and they're looking fine. I would go with the cool temps as an explanation for the leaf droop.

I have given a diluted solution, less than half recommended. I have had temps into the 50's so that is what I am thinking is my main problem. As long as they will not have any growth problems is all I am worried about. Thanks guys.

Have you started seeds in coco before? I love it as a medium, but I had similar trouble starting seeds. My suggestion would be to water heavily with a weak nutrient solution and drain the runoff. They should recover.

This year I'm using Burpee starters made from coco coir. I think they've been pretreated specifically for seeds. Everything that's come up in them has been nice and healthy. Later on I'll transplant to the regular coco coir.

Just an update, same ol same ol.

Started some new seeds today, Yellow 7's, Yellow Bhuts, White Habs and some more red scorpions for the appreciation event. Have 36 currently up, will cull that down to about 25 before too long.
