Mill's 2013

Well I managed to totally ignore my grow this past year. Had some great harvest of some great types but didn't have a lot of time to get pictures up and stuff like that. 2013 will probably be more of the same with a daughter due at the end of Feb but I will try and keep it updated.

Those two are in a cabinet I built a few years back with 4-23watt cfls and reflective insulation lining the sides. It also houses an overwintering C. Rhomboideum which has seen better days.

That is one of two cabinets I have going, the other has in it a Wild Texas Tepin and one 65watt cfl in a reflector. This one is going to become a bonchi for my wife's desk at work.

Other than that its finally slowing down around here before classes start back up in early Jan so I have time to prep the rest of the overwinters.

Great looking plants and setup Mill...Going to be mailing some stuff out tomorrow. Hope to get your stuff all packed up and out to you before I forget. :crazy:

Nice plants!!! Whats your soil mix like this year?
 
 
Is it the same? I think I saw another thread that said you did 1 bale of peat, 2 40lbs bags of black kow composted cow manure, and 1 30lbs bag of black kow chicken manure with a few bags of perilite and called it a day.

Is that what your using this year??

This year I winged it a bunch.  I didnt buy anything except the peat.  I used a bale of peat, about 2 wheel barrows full of shredded leaves, 2 wheel barrows full of composted grass and leaves from last fall(broken down exclusively by worms into an amazing light black soil!!), half a wheel barrow fresh compost and a whole barrow full of garden soil.  It is a ton heavier than what I am used to using but it is turning out great results so far.  I havent been able to source the Black Hen locally in two years which is killing me because that mix was crazy awesome.

She is being super slow.  Almost two weeks later she is still about that size.  I think she is working her roots out and about getting ready for the rain to stop then BAM!!!!!!!
