Yes it can be done, but not in this contest. Rules have to be defined. The rules are charcoal or wood fire. We left the meat choice totally open and were more strict on the method.
 
My only available hot-smoker right now is a propane unit so I guess I'll have to pass on this throwdown.
Maybe I'll try cold-smoking something in my sausage/jerky wood cold smoker or I'll rig something up indirectly over a campfire
