Thanks Mikey. That would be fantastic. That's funny because I was going to ask you for some advice today.

Thanks Spicegeist. I'm making some more this weekend. I was wondering how many Super Hots I could grow in a 8L x 2W x 10in.H box without crowding. Any thoughts?

This Glog makes me hungry. :)
Me too. LOL. There's no shortage of food pics from members. I like to grow and cook. There one in the same for me. They both take patience and practice.

Temps looking better!
They are looking better. I'm afraid the 90s are around the corner. I'm hoping for a few more weeks of 70s.

Thanks for reading everyone.

Hm, that's not very deep for chinenses... maybe 6 plants?  I think it'll be a little tight though...
Thanks Spicegeist. The bottom of the box is open to ground. I till and amend the ground, then I build the box and add my mix. 6 sounds good. Thanks for the input.

I was going to day 6 or 7. Expect a hedge though. :D
I was thinking 5. But then I got to thinking about people who do the square foot gardening. I think 6 it is. A hedge wouldn't be bad. Thanks GA

Haha. Weather is good. Been trying to dry the plants out. Got a bunch of rain Sunday. Muddy out back. Should dry out today. Made some more mix. Not done yet. 21 cubic feet of compressed peat moss, 6 cubic feet perlite, 12 cubic feet of compost. Still not done. More on that later.

Are you adding unbuffered peat moss to your mix chuck? If so, you might want to check the pH of the mix when you finish it. Peppers like slightly acidic conditions, but nothing below 6.0... 6.5 to 7.0 would be better. If you need to adjust the pH higher, use agricultural lime, but be conservative... a little goes a long way, and recheck after adding water and giving the lime time to work.

Nice weather you've been having this week, hope it continues for you!

I used one of those capsule testers with distilled water. Ph said between 6-7. Don't know how accurate it is. Can't afford high tech for testing right now. Will do multiple testing to make sure. Never done this before. Afraid of overdoing it on the lime.

That sounds good enough to start. I've learned caution since I caused chlorosis in some pepper seedlings with nute lockout last year. I pushed the pH beyond 7.5 by adding too much lime. Live and learn, eh?

The past couple days I got some new growth. I think they are hardened. My soil mix is getting there. Will start planting here and there this week.

The last picture is Scorpion that had issues were the stem met the soil. Couldnt bring myself to kill it so I planted it in bonsai container. Its looking really good. Will post more pictures when I start planting up. I'll let them grow some more roots first.

Yeah it's a bottom water reservoir wick system.

Are the white pipes to bottom water the plants?

All plants are looking awesome dude, have you had any pest issues yet?
Thanks. It's a bottom watering wick system.

No pest yet. It's pretty dry here. Been soil and foilar feeding with compost tea this year. So far everything is good. Thanks again for stopping by and reading.

Looking better and better with every post, you are going to be up to your eyeballs in peppers once production starts! You even took over the flower pots....Love it! Is this your first yeat with the wick system or have you had success in the past? I am still really diggin those corrugated pipes you got the tomatoes in, that is a genius idea. Keep up the good work over there buddy!
