P-Son's "mild to wild" Manscaping prohibited!!

After a couple nudging pm's it is time to get things rolling...well, get a list situated atleast. I won't be starting my seeds until March 1 this season. This list is subject to change, and I'm betting it will before I'm done typing. My two goals this season are 1.) Take less pics and better quality 2.)Sow later and achieve similar yields. My germination techniques and set up are not inspirational or extravagant so the bulk of my updates will be after early june plant out. Fert apllication and medium are changing a tiny bit but staying simple with it.

c lanceolatum.... Holy Grail stuff!!! After 47 days I sowed my last couple seeds in a last ditch effort. 9 or 10 days later and this guy hooks. I'm over the moon...that is until I see the seed hull hanging on. Really?? So what do you do when only 1 sprouts out of your 7 seeds and it has a helmet head? Surgery ensued! I weaseled the pinhead sized casing off and everything looked nice and green but in a few hours it started looking rough. Fingers crossed for now. Excuse the cell phone picture here.

Scott, later in the season I will bundle up some purples for for you, pods or seeds. I just broke open the one bed last season,a lot of shale in it,but it grew some very nice plants last year. I keep cleaning some of it out,but I think it has helped with drainage to some degree.

Wow! I would be honored to receive some seeds! Really impressed with how you do things so far up north!

Rough spring this year. The sun has been out for the last few days though and temps are evening out some. Plants are starting to settle in and put out flowers and pods.

First few pods of this yellow primo are showing traits of the yellow bhut parent.

Wow JB that is amazing display of the most perfect pepper plants . I did notice something you may not like. I see a little dirt on the bottom leaf of this plant. Your slacking  ;)

No but really your plants and pics always have me speechless.

Wow!

The Red 7 Pot, and Orange Primo pods are gnarly/beautiful!

You know the Douglah pod is the closest pod I have seen yet as compared to a funky Reaper I have growing.

Great work there as usual!

Wow, John another great update, beautiful taken pictures and your plants... wow :) I love the flower of the CGN19198, never seen anything like that before! The orange primo is really something to grow next season, although it's to hot for me, I love those long tails  I must agree with Jamie however on the Peach Scorpion picture ;)

Dude, your photography skills are incredble.  It doesn't hurt that the subjects are quite photogenic themselves.  I must say, the flower on that CGN19198 is awesome!  Very different from any other chile flower I have seen.  The tovarii flower is pretty unique, as well.  Almost baccatum-like except for the number of petals.  And the node on that Butch T is crazy.  In cross-section, that part of the stalk/stem probably looks burled.  Very nice.

Exsquisite!!

Awesome dude! Everything is looking very healthy and happy my man! Hey, what is that in that flower!? Almost looks like the bulbous body of an insect, but then again that flower looks like a different variety and it could be part of the anatomy??? What type of camera are you using? Great shots ...great shots

The Douglah is looking a bit off but it's an early pod. I have an overwinter that is legit.

Everything always so perfect over here!!! Just stunning John...words can't do anything on this grow justice! Just wish you wouldn't make us wait so long between your awesome!
Thanks Shane... Five workdays @ 12 hours, Two preteen boys, and living in two cities that are 75 miles apart. Makes it hard to update. Sometimes I will even make time to eat! Excuses excuses.....

I would love to get some shots in the morning sun, schedule won.t allow it. The sun is sooo harsh where my plants are, good for growing, but not photos. Most of the time it is almost dark when I shoot.

Hey J,
I've been away for a few, man you sure have the variety and the photos to prove it. Nice shots of the "Wilds" and the flower close-ups.
The beds look tidy and well organized, seems like you didn't cut back on the number of plants ,either...............lol
The Birgit..is a tall girl. I'd ask the height but if it's part of the growdown then will let that be.....(6ft ?)
7 Pots look cool, is the Butch T an overwinter ?
No pods on my Orange Primo's yet, I stripped all the flowers early. I hope to get the same shaped pods that you're getting !
Great update.....you're always out to please............and the customer...viewer is always satisfied !

Hey guru,, the cam is a nikon point and shoot with a bigger zoom. It doesn't have the best sensor, but has enough options to keep me interested for awhile.

That is a stigma in the picture,it was in a different position, but still managed to set a pod. I never heard it called a galaxy node but that is a perfect term. Thanks for stopping in man.

Greg, glad you are back safe and sound. Hope you had a great trip. I tried to cut back but no dice. I did give away a few plants though.

The Butch T is an overwinter. I never want to eat another one again, but the plant has some major vigor and I wanted to see it in year two. Finally starting to grow after a terrible spring. I will get some other pics of the stuff you sent. I have some of your bonnet's going.

Not a bunch going on but time for an update. It has been raining for 10 days and atleast 3 more to follow. The plants are showing tad bit of yellow, but still doing O.K.

This has been the "Year of the Volunteer". Last season was the "Year of the Not", so we are looking good so far.
