P-Son's "mild to wild" Manscaping prohibited!!

After a couple nudging pm's it is time to get things rolling...well, get a list situated atleast. I won't be starting my seeds until March 1 this season. This list is subject to change, and I'm betting it will before I'm done typing. My two goals this season are 1.) Take less pics and better quality 2.)Sow later and achieve similar yields. My germination techniques and set up are not inspirational or extravagant so the bulk of my updates will be after early june plant out. Fert apllication and medium are changing a tiny bit but staying simple with it.

c lanceolatum.... Holy Grail stuff!!! After 47 days I sowed my last couple seeds in a last ditch effort. 9 or 10 days later and this guy hooks. I'm over the moon...that is until I see the seed hull hanging on. Really?? So what do you do when only 1 sprouts out of your 7 seeds and it has a helmet head? Surgery ensued! I weaseled the pinhead sized casing off and everything looked nice and green but in a few hours it started looking rough. Fingers crossed for now. Excuse the cell phone picture here.

Cool flower shots and healthy looking plants......I bet you're getting antsy for the plantout !

The temp was in the 40's here overnight...........the only good things about that...good sleeping weather with the windows open and I don't have to water the plants this morning......soils still damp.

Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend !

Calling for 37° here Saturday night.I could have them in the ground, but as much rain as they had predicted, I would have needed to build them an ark! We received none of it. They will get a feed when I transplant and then it will be like a RONCO rotisserie..."set it and forget it". My plots have been prepped and are teeming with good stuff. The only attention they will get in the next couple months is lower leaf pruning and watering. Enjoy the holiday Greg.

Dey be jommin mon! Hope all is well down in paradise Ramon.

Wilds have a case of the "stalagmites". They are in need of a feed and pot up. Most will go in smallish containers except the praetermissum trees, those guys need big shoes or ground.

C.galapagoense... I have named him "frozen molasses"
RSCN3743.jpg

C.tovarii in no hurry to grow. The leaves are ardent and shiny on these. A snaking growth that never gets turgid.
RSCN3740.jpg

C.eximium has leaves and flowers that resemble some praetermissum but clearly a different growth habit. Ropelike pattern on stem and snaking frame. Setting flowers and pods early.
RSCN3738.jpg

C.flexuosum staying shrubby but getting some random sprigs jumping ahead. Flowers are holding, and pods forming.

Lmao,,,what'd that little ole plant do to you??? Remember, there are a lot of decafinated brands on the market today that are just as tasty as the real thing!
There were "axe"tually 3 plants that felt my wrath! I was too ashamed to admit to that until you humbled me! Do you remember the Bugs Bunny cartoon when the bully construction worker is trying to hard dick him? Bugs eventually drops a large container on him and the guys says "I'm feelin miiiiiighty looooow".. that is me. PIC1 will remember that one for sure.

I bow down  to the master photographer and grower
I'd give you a kidney brother! Best friend a person could ask for. If I could ever get them in the dirt I might be able to grow some big sequoias like you have going! :liar:

I remember that one...but not the quote. Plants are looking super fantastic. Keep them green or beat them into submission...I like your style!
I have some of those spoons saved for you Shane. It will be awhile until I send them but expect an epic package this summer. Think birth of your first child x10...ok,maybe not but you get where I am going.

And I just love the Mata Frade.

Attitude adjustment is where it's at...just not enough of that going on nowadays...
Scott, the Mata Frade is a beauty,I can't wait to see a mature plant. I always think of "Mata Hairy" from Lancelot Link Secret Chimp when I see the name.

Love the pod porn.  Leaves look so healthy and green.
Thank you Sanarda, and thanks for the bump also.

This plant will make it into the ground eventually and get the chance to shine. My inground plants usually take about 2-3 weeks to start moving. The containers jump quicker but never compare to the ingrounders.

Great looking pics P-son. You've got a hulk thumb for sure. I'm going to have to bug you for some of them Purple? Maui? Idk the dark gorgeous beauty on the other page lol seeds at the end of the season.

Beating your plants ey.....can't keep a good pep down.

Now we need some hot weather to help bring along some explosive growth!

Dave, whatever you need, just ask. I have a bunch of purple varieties.

We need some even temperatures for sure, some rain wouldn't hurt either. You guys are hogging all of it up. What a change from last year huh? It was like the Sahara up there last year for you folks.

All great pics, love the flower pictorial and you can have half the rain we're getting ... water is falling from the sky daily :o
Thanks Ramon, I don't want that much, but an inch a week would work.

Damn Son! Those flower pics are freakin incredible! Your plant pics are no slouches either! Looks like your Primo is gonna be a beast! Just took its sweet time forking I see. I can't wait until the next update.
Same seed for the primo as last season, grew the same way also. Took forever to fork and branch. I really like the pod shapes I got from these so I will keep growing them. Next season I may do some pruning to those ones.
