P-Son's "mild to wild" Manscaping prohibited!!

After a couple nudging pm's it is time to get things rolling...well, get a list situated atleast. I won't be starting my seeds until March 1 this season. This list is subject to change, and I'm betting it will before I'm done typing. My two goals this season are 1.) Take less pics and better quality 2.)Sow later and achieve similar yields. My germination techniques and set up are not inspirational or extravagant so the bulk of my updates will be after early june plant out. Fert apllication and medium are changing a tiny bit but staying simple with it.

c lanceolatum.... Holy Grail stuff!!! After 47 days I sowed my last couple seeds in a last ditch effort. 9 or 10 days later and this guy hooks. I'm over the moon...that is until I see the seed hull hanging on. Really?? So what do you do when only 1 sprouts out of your 7 seeds and it has a helmet head? Surgery ensued! I weaseled the pinhead sized casing off and everything looked nice and green but in a few hours it started looking rough. Fingers crossed for now. Excuse the cell phone picture here.

Bode Roxa is getting out of hand, you can see it is eating the plant behind it. It is about 5' wide already.I will pull the plant in back as I have gotten enough pods off of it. Some of these varieties have no info so it is hard to plan ahead.
DSCN6027.jpg

These plants were planned out alitttle better. The Primo in the back right will get over 6',the Boonie maybe 8'. I notice the Indian varieties bush out more so I put them in front. Still not enough space for them but I always grow more than I have room for.

Speaking of Indian varieties, here is an Indian Carbon Ghost. Makes my top 5 favorite pepper.

Amazing John...Pr0digal's Perfection in Pods. That's triple P JB!!! Three times the P of the average grow!
They are still sucking the hind one compared to yours! The compliments mean a lot,if people enjoy their visit,I feel I've achieved something.

John, John, those are some amazing pictures of your pods. Can you describe the taste of the Manzano?
I was expecting a lot,I will admit it. First bite floored me! Had a juicy and sugary flavor. I don't get that fruity flavor from supers that some folks do. This was like eating fruit, the texture and flavor. Wow! Pissed I only had one.

Were you growing a Malagueta this year?
I am growing the Malagueta with a few others at a different location. I haven't checked on them in about a month with all the rain we have had.

I always enjoy stopping by...for a bit. Then a little jealousy sets in! Haha...your photo skills and those lush green plants. Pure beauty! That 19198 is an Eximium right??? Nice looking plant, how big is that one???

(C.sp) to be safe. I say it is eximium complex. There are others who know more than I though. It is a branching shrub, not very big yet. I didn't stake it at so it is sprawled out. It will vine if you train it. C.tovarii is the same way,I am making that one grow up though.

As usual an impressive update!

I hope you realize what a talented grower you are to get the results you're getting way up north! (at least way north from me)

Photography as always is exceptional!

As always, I'm taking notes...

@All.... Thanks guys.

Shane, here is a shot of the CGN19198. It was in a small container and got a late pot up. In SoCal this thing would get quite large I bet. As I showed a few pages back,it's flowers pin back like a wild nightshade when in full sun.

Super long teeth on the calyx and bigger berries.

Greg, you asked about galapagoense flowers per node a few pages back. 99% of the time it sets one pod.
RSCN6140-1.jpg

Setting two at this node.
RSCN6129.jpg

I admittedly just pushed this plant aside but everytime I start combing it over,I am blown away how unique it is.From a distance it is just a drab plant but once you get up inside it is cool. The calyx is really neat,it is perfectly round and smooth, you don't see that very often. The color of the young pods is the darkest shade of green and the ripe pods have a decent heat and flavor, almost tastes like black pepper.

You've got some pretty interesting pods, those Elefant pods look really cool, very unique skin. The elongated spikes on that wild's Caylix are awesome looking. It's like a tomato lol. Grow is just outstanding. Oh and those fatalii's look so wicked. Flower shots = upskirts.

Um.....things are really kicking up your way!

Fantastic! Stupendous!

Pics match the grow!

Really cool varieties and they all are extremely happy.

Wow...don't know how I missed that update! Loving those Manzanos huh??? They're such a cool pepper...

Your GW cross from Jamie is almost certainly a reverse of the cross I am growing with the GW as mama. Sweet! Is it shooting up or out? Mine hit 6' in a hurry then bushed out...and she's a looker! Pod shape on yours is very similar, along with them being slower to darken in sunlight than a true GW.

Your ISO system is pure genius too...like the straw markers! Too late and too many cervesas down for any more typing...plus I think my bunkmate is wondering what the hell I'm doing with my computer this late at night...
