That's good news about the Bonda and B Goat.  That is the first pod on
the SB TFM, so I would not be surprised is it is an anomaly.  All the seeds
you sent me have produced strong plants!

These two plants will be packed with pods by the end of the summer:

Pointed Yellow Habanero (Spankycolts):

Oh yeah, the Yellow Sevens (Trippa).  These are going to be some monster
pods, and lots of them:

Okay, that's it for now.  Thanks for the bumps, Trippa.  I need to get some pics of the Marconi Rosso,
Giant White Hab, Naga Morich and Bih Jolokia; haven't got to them in decent light yet.  Will try again
tomorrow.  Thanks to all who looked in and left likes; your visits are much appreciated.

Nice update Paul (apart from the nasty 2-4-D business which we won't mention again ;) )
Those yellow 7s are going off Paul... And they look like they are growing very close/identical to the parent pods... Looks like they are getting the brain bumps going as well. !! The flavour and heat on top of the looks and production = winner in my book!!

  • Sorry I’m not around as much any more, too much work but I’m trying to catch up some dis weekend on other glogs too
  • RIP and condolences to the plants that departed, it was sad to read :/
  • Great plant pics of the ones still around producing ^_^
  • Love dem pod porn pics too, great job!
  • Have an awesome weekend brethren!

Nice update Paul!

You have great things going on there! Lots of pods and fantastic variety! AND, lets not forget the great photography!

I know I keep saying this but you guys up north who can make this kind of magic happen have way better skills than us in the south!

2-4-D?
Yellow 7 is a great pepper, all right.  I didn't know they were so prolific!
They re definitely getting the brain-y look!

Please don't apologize, Ramon.
I'm the worst of all
Thanks for looking - hope you are getting in
some fun time.  Too much work is not good.

Thanks for the kind words, Scott.  Nice of you to visit my glog.

I don't think that is entirely true.  We have the short grow season to contend with,
but that is doable.  You folks have tornados, nasty insects attacking your plants,
tomato hornworms, fusarium wilt, bacterial spot, and a host of others issues to
contend with that are sometimes not doable.  We get a few aphids and slugs along
with earwigs, and a little mold/fungusto deal with.

I'm probably the worst thing I have to deal with

great update :fireball:
Thanks, Pia.  I am glad to see the Congo Trinidad finally setting pods

Wow Paul!!! You're going to have some monster pulls by the end of August! Loaded down, lush and green brotha. Your grow reminds me of Greg's with the peppers plants worked into the landscaping so perfectly. Like a Japanese garden full of Caribbean plants...what a paradise! I knew you had some overwinters...just didn't realize how many...great job Paul!

Beautiful stuff man. Those dragonflies are almost as gorgeous as that Numex twighlight! Rock on dude.
Thanks, Pep'r, both are colorful for sure!

Hey, Shane, you are too kind as always.  Greg is my role model
And some dude down in Poway (?), CA   ;)  that hauls in pods by the
boatload.

The peppers are a handsome landscaping plant in their own right!

I'm the most disappointed that the Wild Brazil, Tepin, Congo Trinidad
Red, and Manzano OWs went down in the 2-4-D debacle.  They were
all really rollin'.  The Fatali OW is doing great as are the OW ornamentals.

Hope your weekend is stellar, my friend!

Looks like you're loaded.  Going to be some big harvests for you coming up.
Thanks, Bo!  I just have to resign myself to looking at green pods for now!
Did manage one small 'harvest' on Sunday.
The Fatali/Savinas are about 2 and 1/4 inches long:

Spent an hour or so on Sunday afternoon sampling the pods on some slices of
Tri-Tip .  All were good and hot, but our favorites were the Fatali/Savina and
the Peruvian White Habanero:

One of my fatalli x red savina's are producing the exact same looking pods.  The other is producing a larger red pod with a stinger.

Once those yellow 7's get even a hint of yellow you know you don't have to wait long before they are Ripe. In fact I find that with most yellow pods compared with the Red and Brown they will finish Ripening much quicker once started. What's tri-tip Paul?? Looks good. Nice harvest my man... As far as I am concerned any harvest from your own plants even if it is one pod is worth celebrating.....on you grow!!

These look very interesting.  I'm pretty sure this developed from THSC seed originally.  Mine did as well, but have come to look different over the years.  It's fun to see the lines developing over time.

Glad to see some of the garden rewards hitting your plate!

How much time have you left in this season?
Thanks, bro.  If we are lucky, the grow season can extend into October.
I'm hoping for at least 6 more weeks of good grow weather

That's interesting.  Wish I had more than one plant to see how they compared.

I really can't wait, Tristen!

Here's a link for the tri tip cut of beef.  It comes from the loin.

Yes, the pods are most enjoyable when they come from your own garden!

I'd like to know more about the lineage of this plant.  I got it from Spanky last year,
but I don't know where he got it, or the seed, whichever.

Nice presentation!
Thanks, SG!  Disclaimer:  I got the idea from Greg (Pic1) last year   ;)

Fatalii/Savina and Tri-Tip!!! Why the heck wasn't I invited??? Great little pull brotha! Just wait until those Yellow 7's ripen!

Yeah the yellow 7's seeds I gave Paul were from my own pods which i grew with seeds direct from THSC .. Great genetics
Thanks for the info on the tri-tip Paul ... Seems tri-tip is only called that in the States ... It must be incorporated into another cut here I think??
