Hi Paul, Glad to see you're starting to get some good pulls now! Hopefully things will start moving a little quicker for you now. Have you tried the Fatali x Savina before?

Fatalii/Savina and Tri-Tip!!! Why the heck wasn't I invited??? Great little pull brotha! Just wait until those Yellow 7's ripen!
What?  Didn't your e-invite come through?

Waiting is the hard part.  It's like if I look at the
pods long enough, they will start to ripen!  It was
nice to get a little taste of what is to come   :fireball:

Trippa said:
Yeah the yellow 7's seeds I gave Paul were from my own pods which i grew with seeds direct from THSC .. Great genetics
Thanks for the info on the tri-tip Paul ... Seems tri-tip is only called that in the States ... It must be incorporated into another cut here I think??
Thanks for this information, Tristen.
It's fun to know where the plants/seeds
originated.

Awesome! Love the Fatalii crosses. That Fatalii is some tasty chilli!
Hey, Lourens!  The Fatali cross is definitely a keeper.  Some serious heat
but great flavor.  The Fatali OW is podding up for real; will be interesting
to compare the Fatali to the cross.

I guess things will just proceed at their own pace now.
I have determined that staring at the pods does not hasten
the onset of ripening.

I grew the Fatali cross last year.  The pods were shiny and red,
and looked more like habaneros than Fatalis.  Can't wait to see
what next generation brings!

Everything is looking great.  You eating Jimmy??  Try it in a stir fry as the sauteing really brings out the sweetness.
Actually, Bo, had some grilled Shishito with dinner tonight!
Scrumptious   :drooling:

Just a teeny update of the front yard plants.  They are growing fast.

Chocolate Hab (RF).  Now 25" at top most node:

Will try to get some more pics tomorrow.  I see a couple of little hooks in the tray
of seeds I started last Sunday!

Both of those plants are black pearl? The bottom pic is beautiful. Wha whaaaa! Started more seeds??? Hahahahahaha awesome!
Hey, David, Thanks for the look, and spotting my omission.
Forgot to label the NuMex Twilight.  Good eye, bro!

Yeah, started some more seeds to try to OW to replace some
of my killed off plants!

Hope your fitness plan is proceeding well.

Those Goatsweeds are monsters. Gorgeous plants my friend.
Thanks, Pia.  The GW are one of my favorites.  I'm growing out
another from Shane's original seed from last year.  Going to try
to get it established as an OW.  The weather has been good to the
plants!

Pics to follow later today.

Okay, here's a small update:

Giant White Habanero.  Seed came from a stinger pod, harvest 2012.  Several on the plant like this tell me there

Very nice Paul, glad to see the coloring up!
Thanks, Scott.  Progress is slow but steady!

Here are the peppers and tomatoes on the North end of the yard.  All 18 gallon containers.  Left to right:  Oregon Spring, Yellow Scotch Bonnet TFM, German Johnson, Devil's Tongue, Bonda Ma Jacques, Beefsteak:

Just for some color,

The roses have been abundant this year.  The tallest is over my head by at least a foot:

Yellow Swallowtail (edit:  Western Tiger Swallowtail) on the Cherokee Purple tomatoe; always a welcome visitor:
_DSC0380a_zpse7989599.jpg

And last, some capsicum color.

Finally got around to grinding up all my dried pods into powders.  My neighbor helped me
and it took us about 4-5 hours:  There is some hot stuff in there.
Thinking Fatali and Naga Morich, to name two   :onfire:
There should be close to 2 pounds of powder there.  I had three pounds of dry pods, and we
had a pound of mixed left overs which my neighbor further ground up into a dynamite powder:
_DSC0382a_zps00a82f34.jpg

Okay, that will have to do in lieu of ripening pods.
Maybe in a couple of weeks

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Smoked chicken  and grilled ribs on the plate here for Sunday BBQ

Along with some fresh ground powder   :mouthonfire:

Love it all Paul...those stinger White Habs are a keeper! Keep working that one and you'll be on to a strain everyone will want! That Goat's Weed is doing you proud as well. That strain grows more up...the one I am growing this year more out. Aside from the vertical growth everything looks the same. I saved plenty of seeds off this one and I will send you some of this low growing shrub if you like. Your plants look so lush compared to mine! Just beautiful! Mine are looking ragged right now so you got me jealous! A couple Lbs of Powder on top of all the other awesome...with the promise of some amazing grilled foodies from you in a few days! Life is good at Paul's house y'all! If I left here Saturday evening I could be there in time for Sunday dinner...hmmm. :drooling:

I think that powder should hold ya for a few days!

Sure does look purty! As do the pics.

Here's to the weather hanging in there for a full harvest!
Scott, you're the man, brother!  I have blended a few of the powders
together in glass jars.  Will post up some pix when I get them all 'jar'd'.
It is cool to see all the different colors.

Keep those positive vibes coming, my friend!

I'm hoping for the Giant White to produce a nice line of stinger pods.  Will keep at it!

Thanks for the seed offer, buddy.  I had a couple of your original seeds left and have
three with cotys up and growing.  So no need for you to send any.  I'm also going to
try to start some Wild Brazil from last year's harvest; seeds are in the overnight soak
now.  Pics in a few days.

I remember how your plants looked 10-12 weeks ago, and mine were little sticks with leaves   ;)

We've saved a place at the table for you, buddy!  Will grab a few photos for sure.

You have some powder on hand for sure now lol.
Now I just have to figure out what to do with it, Bo!

I have blended a few together.  Would like to make them finer, but my little
coffee grinder won't do it.

Sorry to be away for so long - wedding anniversary (37), daughter visiting from D.C.
You know how it goes.  We did have our smoker/barbeque  two weeks ago, while
NWCF was happening.

Halfway through, starting to look good:

Ribs finishing on the kettle.  Our neighbor boiled them first, then just glazed
them on the grill:

Both very hot and very tasty:

Okay, here are pics off the seedlings David (3/5King) was ribbing me about starting
I started then on Aug. 6 in cell trays, and transplanted them to the red cups as soon as they
hooked and/or opened up cotys.

Goat's weed.  Front row from my harvest last year, back row from Shane's original seed sent in
2012.

Wild Texas Tepins from THSC, 2012.  Great germination rate:

Orange Manzanos from Shane's (STC3248) seed 2012.  A Red Rocoto from SocalChilihead also just hooked and
opened up cotys yesterday (23 days!):

Yellow Ajis.  Back row, Peruvian Market Aji Amarillo, front row, same, but with seed from a bushy
phenotype, last year's harvest.  On the right, Aji Amarillo from Peppergal seed 2012:

Front yard plants are doing well.  As the sun's arc gets lower in the sky, they get a bit more sun.

Goat's weed; has hit 40 inches (1m) with lots of little
black pods on it:

Chocolate Habanero, setting lots of pods:

More to come...

Hi Paul,
Glad to see things looking so well out your way... nice plants and lots of powder to see you through the winter. Those Aji Omnicolors you sent me last year turned out to be Beasts! I put 2 plants out in one end of a 4x10 foot raised bed and they've claimed a 4x4 space plus what's hanging over the edges. Loaded with pods too... I'm pulling about a pint of pods from them every day now. Cheers!

Love the Bar BQ pics, I live to cook on the pit! We do the whole chicken and ribs all the time.

Congrats on 37th! LB and I are at 34 come Dec., the years go by quickly don't they?

Oh, and the peppers! As usual they look great! The photography is super, the pics just pop!

Have a great weekend!
