Grow List 2014 - Many new varieties and a few repeaters.
This is the third year of my original three year plan to grow a slew of different
types to see what grows well here before settling on some consistent performers.
I'd love to grow some of the new varieties from this season again, and some more
of my favorites from 2012, but not enough space.  But I have seed for my favorites for
season 2015, so I have something to look forward to already!

Major goal for season 2014 - lay in a good supply of super hot powder!

Just a quick update on the wild Texas Tepins.  This one has the most ripe pods; all will have to go to the greenhouse when and if I need space for starts in party cups:

Great work space Paul...the wooden drawers on the left, is that for all your seeds? ;)

The seeds are in glass jars in the cigar boxes on top of the drawer!

The wooden drawers are an old library card catalogue that my wife
rescued from the discard bin at her school.  Technology kind of made
them obsolete!  I use 'em for nuts and bolts and miscellaneous small stuff.

Nice work space you got there.  My space is more seasonal, it changes as the year progresses.  I think its going to be a good growing year!!!
Hopefully some of this will be moved when summer
gets here, as well.  The small table is just an as needed
item, and some of the stuff will go to the outside shed
and greenhouse.  I hope you are right, Jeff!

Excellent setup Paul... envious.

I work on a folding table which I stash after I use it. The thrills of a one bedroom apartment =).

Happy growing!
Hey, Adam, there is something to be said
for efficiency and traveling light!

Great glog and list, love to see detailed descriptions and the collaborative spirit of THP members! And of course some culinary! :D
THP is awesome, indeed.  I came for the pepper lore and
stayed for the community sharing and give and take!

And some of the foodies are totally awesome, for sure!

Thanks Paul! Can't wait for the next round of pics!
Soon, my friend, very soon   ;)

It's been one month since the round One seeds were put into
Jiffy pellets, so time for a birthday photograph or two.  There
are a few that could use a shot of Cal-Mag, so that's on the
to-do list in the next day or two.  A few are really starting to take off.

A not Giant White Habanero (Spankycolts) and two 7 Pot Burgundy (Sawyer):

Another not Giant White Hab, Bhut Jolokia Yellow and a Reaper (both from Sawyer):

Primo and Indian Carbon (both from MGold) and a Ghost, really Red Bhut Jolokia (Spankycolts):

Brainstrain (Romy6) and two NagaBrain from F2 Mother Plant pods (Windchicken):

Funky Reaper (Sawyer), Brainstrain again (why I have no idea), and a Scotch Bonnet TFM (Trippa):

I'm not a big fan of dinky sprouts with cotys and teeny leaves,
but for what it's worth, here they are.  The front and back rows
of cups are the same.  These Round Two seedlings will two weeks
from going into the Jiffy pellets tomorrow.

Hope everybody is having a good week.  It is hump day, right?

Looking awesome Paul and some great varieties as well... Is the bonda x yellow 7 one of Gary's own crosses?? . ... Any signs of the aerogarden babies popping yet??

Fantastic looking plants Paul! They look quite proud on their solo cups. Can't wait till mine look so good!

Don't disparage the younguns! They're doing quite well.

What do you look for to give them the CalMag?

Thanks, Tristen - this is definitely the year of the super hots in my garden!
I'm not sure about the origin of the bonda cross, maybe Gary will see
this and let us know.

No action in the aerogarden, yet.  I think that some of the varieties are
tough to get going, but we'll see.  They went into the aerogarden on the
9th, so it's been six days.  I'm hoping for something to happen soon.

Nice looking starts.  Things are looking green!!!
Thanks, Jeff.  Hoping things stay that way!
I hold my breath until they go outside into their final resting place!

Glad to see those young ladies look so healthy Paul!

You're gonna be loaded this season!
Some of them look pretty good, Scott.  I have double what I can grow, so I'm
going to have to give some away to a neighbor or two.

I always have too many pods - I still have a box full of dried ones to grind
or do something else with.  Just haven't got to it, yet

Looks great, Paul. Especially those 7P Burgundys.
^5
Hey, Jesse.  the 7 Pot Burgundys are some of the most vigorous starts I've seen
in my three seasons of growing chiles,  I can't wait to see how they do when the
real grow season gets here!

It won't be long, my friend!  They have a way of growing in spite of what we do!
Don't disparage the younguns! They're doing quite well.
Didn't mean to cast aspersions on the little sprouts, Adam    Just not much to see, yet!
What do you look for to give them the CalMag?
Sometimes the leaves get sort of yellow-y, so I give them a little spray of Cal-Mag.
Sometimes the results are dramatic, other times, not so much.
The Scotch Bonnet TFM seemed to be the worst.  The next round of watering,
I'll give them all some through the bottom.  They should be getting plenty of other
nutrients from the Happy Frog and Ocean Forest.

Well Paul, kinda thought you were done sowing seeds but i see you still have some up your sleeve... Anyways more seedlings of one variety is better than one seedling barely making it..
Except for the annuls in Feb/March, I'm done; no room for what I have already!
Just waiting on the wilds in the aerogarden - if they don't pop, I'll try them again
in the Jiffy pellets, and use the aero for the annums.  At least that's the plan!

"Anyways more seedlings of one variety is better than one seedling barely making it.."

That's awesome, buddy - great quote
