@Tybo - great story about the Beth Boyd SBs.
Mine have always been yellow. Not real exciting,
but it is one of my favorite scotch bonnets

Brought plants I could move in under the canopy to get them
out of the forecasted rain this weekend. First in almost three
months. Maybe an inch or two in the offing.

Great stuff, Paul. Just skimming through is inspirational. With the panic move prep I'm not doing much skimming, but I had a minute...

Anyone want to tell me how I can get directly to the last page of these threads? I'm always taken to page one and have to scroll to the bottom where the list of pages are....

I am pleased and humbled you chose to spend
those precious minutes here, my friend! Always
good to see a familiar 'face' in the thread!

If there is a new post in the thread, there is a 'jump
to new' button at the top of the page. Otherwise, you
have to do the scrolling down thing and go to the
last page and scroll down to the last post. @The Hot Pepper
said that's how it came 'out of the box' and maybe
down the road there could be a change, but we should
let him rest for awhile after all this work on the new site ;)

If you are clicking a glog from the forum view and going to page 1 it means you have already read the newest post. If it has the orange "New" icon it means there are new posts and it will take you there.

Nice pulls my friend. I hope for more sun down there so you can finish a great season!

Hey @Datil - Thanks, buddy. It looks like a couple of more
weeks of decent weather is in the forecast. Not Summer,
but a nice Fall with some warmer than average nights (by
a few degrees  .) My goal is to have everything larger
than wild berries picked by first weekend in October.

Paul as the Italian master Mr D said looks like your set fair for weeks more of decent weather and glorious end to 2021 will look forward to the final harvest.🍷

You and I both, @talas! I’m not sure how’glorious’ end-of-season
will be  but I don’t mind seeing the Fall coming. Herding the
plants gets tedious after awhile

It is good to see some positive results, though, I’ll have to admit.
De-seeded some Tasmanian Black (thanks to @Bou) to dry for
some powder. Those are some Purple Thunder yellow/caramel
at the upper right of the tray. I probably threw out at least as
many seeds as I saved.

Most of the pods had a thin purple stripe on the placentas.
I haven’t seen that on any of the other plants I’ve grown.

Tried a bite of one of the latest pods. Mild flavor, a little heat.
Crunchy to the bite, seems like a nice all-around pod. Nice
to eat something that doesn’t melt my face. Should make a
good powder.

Very good haul bro👌 Mine are coming along nicely too, they should be ready in a week or so! Have you eaten one yet??

Purple Thunder yellow/caramel sound like great all rounders Paul, the glorious well that was the weather 🌞..the hard work is another thing but us Gardener's we do like a moan even when it's a good year 🤣👍

Haven't eaten a whole one yet. Still a few more
ripening on the plant. Will have to try one of those.

Do yours have the purple stripe on the placentas?

Thanks for sending those, my friend!

Well I'm glad you like them! I haven't cut one open yet but last year they all had these purple stripes too, as you can see on the pic below.

Seems like those Beth Boyds are good bonnets! My scotch bonnet season of 2019 turned out into nothing but this year they were great and I feel like I want to give it another go in the 2022 season, so I'm looking for inspiration. Still have plenty of varieties waiting to be sown 🙂

Beth Boyd's are the real deal although we grew them straight from Jamaica as with the B.M Monica as theyd come in boxes with produced in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica on the side there the best tasteing bonnets in there red and yellow types there is.Of course myself and a few friends produced our own eventually.
