Pepper People are the Best

Once again I've been blessed by my membership here in the "coolest" club in the world.  I received a box at my door. I saw the address and knew immediately from "whom" but had absolutely no idea of "what." Unpacking the box it was all I could do to maintain dry eyes. From the sunny climes of Australia, Shorerider sent this:

Some local brews (in the fridge now!) and a coozie, a (1995 vint) bottle of Port with a nice bag from Feathertop wines Northeast Victoria (will save that for evening with my special lady friend :shh:),  a "large" container of his wonderful rub (tried some before a little bit, got jipped out of the rest by hungry colleagues - long story) Two bottles of his hot sauce to complete my set (nah, I'm gonna eat'em  ;) ), a book about one of Australia's notorious badmen (looks like a good read) a really cool and very old compact set of tools (corkscrew, screwdriver, awl and drill.) an Australian commemorative stamp and lastly (I had to research this one) a medal/pin that was produced in 1918-19 given to returning Australian soldiers who survived the "Great War" that we now call World War one. The "AIF" stood for "Australian Imperial Forces."

The First Australian Imperial Force was the main expeditionary force of the Australian Army during World War I. It was formed on 15 August 1914, following Britain's declaration of war on Germany, initially with a strength of one infantry division and one light horse brigade.

As if all this wasn't as selfless and generous as anything I've ever seen, he packs in 2 cans of chili-Tuna to round out the lot!

Nothing I could say here, could match my feeling of gratitude.

Thanks Shorerider!   PPATB!

**Note** Not featured in the photo were three cigarette butts, one broken rubber band and a partially eaten bar of chocolate.  :liar:

Warrantman may very well be the post office's #1 customer. I guess he saw that I had been using the bbq grill a lot lately, cause I got a very fine selection of SC bbq sauces, and he tossed in a bottle of aggravated assault. I can't say thanks enough Reggie.

There was a defective bottle in there, the bessingers. The rim of the bottle has a chip out of it and it was leaking a little. Still tempted to try it, but kinda worried that glass could be in there. It smells good though.

The kids really like the party light too!

Edit: photo uploaded isn't working for me, I will try to post pics later I guess.

Edit#2 I guess my extreme ran out

Got a wonderful box of goodness from GIP this week.  He sent through some of his new sweet heat bbq rub, some local maple syrup and some more of that hunka hunka burning love smoked serranno powder.   Toots magoot!!  :)

I took that sweet heat rub and did some chicken breasts on the grill with it.  Excellent flavor, just the right amount of sweet and heat.  I added a bit of salt to the birds in addition to the rub and they came out kickass.  Thanks very much GIP!  PPATB!!!!

I'm so glad you like it Dru !
:)
your Original DruBQ  was an inspiration to me, to use my dried pods to make better rubs.

i do tend to be light on my salt, and been trying to work on lighter heat for my rubs, since i find that many people salt and sauce on their own plate anyway, i have been trying to work on more family friendly rubs and let people add the heat, and more salt as they wish :D

glad everything got to you safely and intact.

Low salt is always a good idea with rubs, because each cook uses different amounts. I tend to use a lot of rub. I would rather salt and pepper my meat and then add the rub. It could even have no salt, but I think low salt is best. So good job bro!

Yeah Reggie, A. Wolfgang Walchit! I laughed pretty good at that one. And by no means was I complaining about the bottle. I think it was like that from the manufacturer not from your packaging. I got suckered into helping a friend change a transmission. So I will post pics hopefully Monday. Maybe try out G.I.P's rub too.

Well I guess I should be more careful where I mention that my extreme expired! I got an anonymous donation of an extreme today when I signed on.

I really do appreciate it! Here are the pics of warrantmans gift. I won't mention which sauce is almost gone already.

Woohoo!!!! I've been served AGAIN!!

PPATB, Thanks Reggie, much appreciated.

Half the anticipation and excitement getting a package from WarrantMan is the packaging.

Just opened my order to find a gift bottle included of his newest sauce.

Really much appreciated, Reggie, but you'll never get yer ass retired from the force if you keep "burning" up the profits!

Here's a PPATB thank you that's about a week overdue. Shorerider, your package arrived, safe and sound, earlier this week, mate. Really sorry it took me so long to get around to logging in and posting this!

Words cannot express my gratitude, man. You've gone above and beyond, yet again, bro. So much awesome stuff in this box (for me ;) ), and the kids LOVED their presents as well. My two boys have been playing with the boomerangs all week! They still need "quite a bit" of practice  My daughter loves the stuffed animal and thinks it's the coolest thing in the world that she now has seashells from halfway around the globe

I'm really looking forward to firing up my smoker, cooking some ribs with your rub, kicking my feet up, and sipping on these beers and rum!

It goes without saying, but THANK YOU, SHORERIDER, very very much!
