Nice profile pic, lookin' all gansta and shit. How's the plants doing now? Are they hanging in there?

UPDATE: My home garden is getting out of control. I'm screwed for harvesting in this jungle. Even our garden at my buddies is starting to come around. The plants are starting to get bigger and the Brains are starting to get stacked with some pods. Some plants are just vegging and not doing anything pod wise but there's plenty of time still for that.

Making another AACT for them as we speak. Here's the recipe.

PIMP JUICE

*14 gallons of rain water (the fact that I have this is by accident lol)
*about 2 cups of mushroom compost
*about 2 cups Pro-Mix Organic Mix with sea compost base and mykos
*a 5inch round grass clump with roots (from the yard)
*General Hydroponics Bio-weed (what I had left, about 1/2 Tbsp)
*1/2 cup General Hydroponics Black Diamond (humic acid)
*1/4 cup Black Label Zym (ten different types of enzymes complemented with an array of vitamins and exotic plant extracts)
*1/4 cup Black Label Bud Enhance (Delivers higher levels of phosphorus and potassium, Abundant flower sites, Increased fruit size)
*1 Tbsp of Black Label Root Enhance (stimulates root growth, repairs damaged roots, continued health and disease resistance in the rhizosphere)
*2 Tbsp Xnutrients Micro
*2 Tbsp Xnutrients Grow

So I forgot some type of sugar base for it.....lol. What a fool. It is still foaming up good. So I'm going to water with it tonight. Plants are going to be in heaven.

Soon to come is a TS Moruga VS Brain Strain 7 pot comparison. There was a dispute a few months ago when Jim Duffy brought the TS Moruga into the spotlight, whether it was actually a Brain Strain 7 pot. So I have both growing and podding up. I thought it would be cool to post side by size pictures of the plants and pods for comparison. I have my verdict but I'm going to post for my followers to see and decide for themselves. (Sunday)

Your pepper plants look great and i can't wait to see your comparison, I don't have any TS Moruga but i do have a few ripe 7 pots ( one Orange, some Yellows (that are actually Orange) and some Chaguanas) I tell ya those 7 pots scare me they look on the plant like there so evil and hot.
Also i think we need to check your plants for any "Anabolic Steriods" from that Pimp Juice :drooling:

Trying to pull off the often attempted but rarely successful Salmon to OG crossover...might just make it count! The plants are kickin and a few (damn few) are still looking perdy. Most are ugly as hell but loaded with pods, I'll take it!

Your at homes are looking really good! Congrats on the 1st Moruga! :clap:

Nice going King. I've noticed my moruga and brains look really similar except the brains have a touch more acne. It will be awesome to flavor test. Jealous of your color man!

Thanks F4F2, all the super hots are mean looking once you've been bitten! The Pimp Juice is great. I feel like they are getting more of what they need. Wish I was able to verify this...lol

Shane, glad to see that you're at least getting pods. Screw that funk! The plants are saying "It's on the inside that counts bitch!" Real mean wear Salmon....but it's that backpack that is in question.... :shh:

Yo J-Mo, yes that Yellow Bhut is lookin' gnarly. I've got the seeds ready to go for next year possibly. The AACT is great. I wish I could brew more at a time.

Mr. Squatch! What is up? Your color will start coming along soon enough. It's only one pod. Although I just found 6 ripe Trinidad Perfume peppers today! They ripen fast. Almost overnight! Comparison soon to come.

I have no idea how I'm going to harvest.....as carefully as possible! I messed up and planted way too close. Learning experience for next year.

Alright, sorry for not getting the comparison up yesterday. I got sun burnt to a crisp and chose not to move for the night...lol

Here it is though. These plants are from my garden. The seeds have come from Cappy (Brain Strain seeds) and I can't exactly remember who the TS Moruga Blend seeds came from but it was a reliable source. I feel like an ass for forgetting :mope:

I'll post the pictures and then at the bottom give my feelings on whether they are the same or not.

The TS Moruga Blend

This is the plant a month ago. The second picture, it is the second plant from the left against the fence and recent. I know the second pic doesn't give you the best look now but it is still relevant. The first picture gives you a good idea.

I have to say I do not believe that they are the same pepper. The plants grow similar but the pod shape and texture is very different in my opinion. The TSMB has a more pumpkin like shape to it...multiple grooves if you will. The Brain Strain is more likely to have two halves with a more elongated body. Not all of them though. Some of my Brain Strains are rounder in shape but they still do not have the pumpkin like similar shaped surface. The BS also forms a tail. The TSMB that I am growing sucks in at the bottom but forms a little bump. The BS for the most part form a tail that sticks out of the depression. The texture of the BS is also dissimilar to the TSMB. The BS has a brain like ridged surface, where as the TSMB has bumps and pimples.

Although there are a few pods here and there that slightly resemble each other and the plants grow similarly. I can see nothing that tells me these two plants are the same. There is enough evidence in my grow to show me that from what I can tell these plants and pods are not the exact same. Now if there is something that links them genetically....that I can not say.

Those plants and pods are looking very nice. That was a good side by side comparison, and I agree with your conclusions. Although, I have to think that whether or not you have a brain strain or a tsmb in your mouth, the end results will be very similar :mouthonfire:

Nice pod/plant shots! Thanks for the comparison pics of the TSMB/Brains. I didn't grow any Moruga's this season, so I'm looking forward to what you have to say about them. I think I got some seeds off one of the trains I was on, so I'll probably grow them out next year if they get some favorable reviews from folks like you.

No prob. Shane. I started the Morugas late, I heard about them and already had the Brains going so I figured I should grow both. I was interested to see the outcome after all of the controversy. I'll give a test soon enough. I just realized I've been slacking on keeping the tolerance up....I thinks me needs to start eating more fresh peppers to prepare :flamethrower:
