I went to HD and they dont have anything called coco choir. I went to two of them. All they carry is MG. Sucks. oh and Vigara organic. I guess we are to citified to carry good stuff in our HD's
Hahaha.........Home Depot:......was that the Viagra Generic or the Vigoro Organic...Same here, no Coco Coir at HD. But all the local nurserys and grow shops carry the compressed block or loose filled bags...

Good year 3/5. I have my overwinters in a south facing room and they are putting out a ton of growth. I don't want them to grow at all but they aren't cooperating. Those yellow pods look exactly like yellow 7 pots to me. You never know how dilligent or particular other folks are about their seeds. I think a lot of the crosses and "nots" in our community are seed mix ups. I am more than likely wrong though. Rewind a couple weeks.... I am deseeding pods and I accidentally fling one into the air and have no clue where it lands. I immediately toss out 4 plates of seeds because I wasn't sure if it landed in any of them. I am nuts...yes, but I want to know what I am growing. If I wanted it to be random and mysterious,I would put all my seeds in a bag and shake them all up. Good luck with your winter projects. I will be checking in periodically..... any throwdowns in your future?

Hey P-sizzle, I have the one plant I decided to OW at my house in a West facing window, all the leaves have fallen off......wanna trade!? Yes, I agree with you and Greg but now that I know I don't have a yellow Naga M., I must create one. Damn, just throw them all away huh, yeah, I would of had to do the same. f**k growing a seed out all year and then realizing you made a mistake and now have something other than you intended....the gardens too small and I ain't got the patience to wait another year! I've been out of work for a long time now. I ran out of money to participate in the TD's about 4 months ago...lol but as soon as I get a job, I will be throwing things down again. Thanks for stopping by brewha!

Made me some hot sauce tonight! Mmmmmmmmm Mmm is it tasty!

This sauce is a play on AlabamaJack's purée recipe. I added garlic and onion and used slightly different measurements of the ingredients.

Doin' it right every night

"King's Courage"

2 cloves garlic
1 onion
1/4 cup distilled white vinegar (5% acidity)
4 tbsp agave nectar
1/4 tsp ghost pepper salt

1 small red bell pepper
1 moruga
1 yellow scorpion
1 yellow bhut
1 jonah
1 cgn-21500
2 yellow fatalii
15 datils

I took the peppers (minus the bell) the garlic and the onion, put it under the broiler and gave it all some char. Add it all to the pot with the vinegar and 2.5 cups water. Simmer down and blend with an emulsion hand blender. Add the agave, red bell and another .5 cup water. Simmer down, add
Ghost salt and blend some more until the consistency is thick but pourable. Then bottle the bad boy up and vwala!

Thanks Stefan, you know, it's not as hot as I thought it might be. I think the roasting and all the garlic, onion and sugar toned it down. But it is an awesome sauce.

UPDATE-SKI: GARDEN OVERHAUL'N "Heavy Machinery Addition"

Time to overhaul the garden and get that shiz ready for next season. It just looks like a wreck in the picture lol. We took down the fence and rolled it up for safe keeping. Pulled up all of the plants and threw them to the side for our compost pile. Now it's time to do work!

First thing's first....contacted local topsoil company and got the hookup with some grade A black gold from an old football field they were ripping up. We had to drive about 45 minutes away to the actual field to pick it up. Which is awesome because now I really know where it came from and don't have to worry about poor quality. They took it from the field and dumped it in the back of Jeremy's duelly. It was 11.00 a cubic yard....man o man did that soil have the ass end of his truck squatin'...prob. running around 6,000lbs or more lol

Now that we kicked that dirt pile's ass.....TA DAAAAA

Alright, now on to phase two of garden whoop ass. Local sand and gravel pit......next trip on the docket. We went to this place on a Saturday morning....it was like a barren wasteland. We drove around the dump for 30 minutes trying to find someone to help us out! The lady I finally found....what a moron. I walked up to the scale house, which she was in. (you know the big scales that you drive on to get weighed...well she was in a dinky little house right beside it...lol) She talked on her cell phone the whole time I was trying to do business with her and then didn't give us the ticket...so once we got to the compost pile, we had to drive back for the ticket hahahahaha...oh man she made my morning alright. Anyways long story short.....more heavy machinery doin' work! 10.95 a cubic yard.

Alright, now that we have that loaded up.....time to unload it...lol FUN TIMES. We took the steaming pile back to the house and dumped it on top of the 3 yards of topsoil we had laid over the garden yesterday. So now the garden is 3yards deep in topsoil and 3yards deep in compost....TIME TO ADD SOME MORE. We emptied out the fire pit of 3 years worth of ash, took (4) 3.8cuft bags of Sunshine Advanced Mix #4 and poured it onto the slew of greatness we have going on already. (Which had a ton of perlite in it) Last but not least, I added half a bag of lime. You know what time it is now? It's time to rent the big ass tiller again and toss this garden's salad!

Little man helping out with the compost pile too. GET'TER DONE (that help lasted about 3 minutes and then he got bored with it and walked away)

I'll tell you what, this broke the camels back (the camel being me...lol) It was well worth it though. Now the garden is fluffed for next year and ready to go. All of the goodness we put into the garden will have time to come to life and be ready to accept new life in the spring. Now it's time to make sure all of these overwinters hang on and make it for the next few months!

I am still sore from this excursion. We added so much material to the garden, once we rented the tiller, we had to rake the stuff we added to the side so that we could get down to the old garden! I was cracking up.....so we went over the new stuff with the tiller, then we raked back a row of what we added, tilled the under layer and then pushed the row back over.....we did this six times (for six rows) It was the only way to get the old garden (which is basically still clay) tilled up and to mix with the new material. It was back braking but we finished it and it looks like it's going to be some great stuff to grow in next year. We are going to put the fence back up and toss in a layer of leaves to protect the top of the soil from the elements.

Well that's it for the garden this year. We still have the compost pile to get too and the indoor grow to worry about.....it's gonna be a loooooooong winter...

Wow  you didn't mess around. Nice. Your post could be a truck commercial. That stuff should be like magic for you next year. My only thought, and take it for what it's worth, if you have some leaves or something, mulch them with your mower and cover up your soil for the winter. I think it'll keep everything there and give you a jump start on your microbiotics for the spring.

Thanks Andy! Yeah, his truck is the only reason we can do some of the things we do. I love it. We are definitely going to be covering the soil with mulched leaves for the winter. I mentioned it above, you must have missed it. Once the spring time hits, we are going to be planting one to two fish per hole, per plant. After that we will be feeding with some home made fish hydrolysate and AACT's. Can't wait to see how our garden turns out next year....it's maddening to wait lol

Nice looking dirt! You can always tell it is awesome by that rich shade of black.

Yeah, compared to the orangish brown clay mixture we have going underneath lol

Good for you man! Way to work the "dirt" and think ahead. I wish I had your plot of land. I can see it widened in all directions....at least a few ft. Good luck with the rest of it, this weekend may hit the upper 60's...yea!

Is that a compost pile next to the bench or a pile of leaves. They can be turned into the soil also, good source of humus. Any horse stables nearby........nows the time for the "dump"............oops.

Remember, you save some cash when it comes to planting by amending the planting hole area ONLY with bone/blood meal, castings whatever you'd normally use. Some folks tend to throw the gear down and til it into the whole area. When you til in the fall it all gets spread for the upcoming year. So I'd recommend take care of the root zone area only...big time.

Wow, man, major undertaking. But I'm sure it's gonna pay off huge divideds come next season. Agree with Stefan, that black soil looks incredibly rich. Your Brains are gonna be really brainy next year!

Greg, hey man! See the thing is, it's my buddy's backyard....he says its big, I say it's small (the garden) if it were mine, it would be twice the size! Upper 60's....rain....were the hell was all of this rain when it mattered.

Yeah, it's a huge pile of leaves (I brought all of mine over too) the plants that we didn't keep, grass, pumpkins and any other "green" or "organic" material we have. That's getting mulched up and composted (at least we are attempting) this winter/spring. We will see how that works.

I hear that! We are going to throw whole fish (free) in each hole and then we will prepare some fish hydrolysate to use in our AACT's. the plants we did it with this year love it.

There's gonna be some big changes this spring. Can't wait! Maybe I'll be able to stop by this time and check out your operation. Tweak Sairaxx says its a sight to see.

Thanks Guru and yes, yes it is a willow tree. Why are they good? I'm eager to know. We labored hard and long in hopes of turning this plot into an organic playground for the plants to run wild.

Willows are a pain in the arse, well there roots are anyhow as they spread far & wide looking for water & can undermine foundations & footpaths, we had a huge one in the yard & had to chop it down because of the roots.

Mezo.

Yeah, the roots run all throughout the garden. There's no foundations around to be destroyed though (or foot paths) so we are good in that sense.....but the big bastard does get in the way of the sun...
