Wow! Making that jelly must be a true labor of love!!!!! :)

Now that I got it figured out it's surprisingly easy. To harvest them you put an umbrella upside down beneath the plant then beat the hell out of it with a stick. Last year I made it difficult on myself by removing all the little stems (took AGES) which turned out to be pointless since you strain all the solids out after cooking it down anyway. The resulting jelly is worth all the hard work.

Also made wild dewberry jam last year but won't be doing that again this year. Dewberries are much sweeter than blackberries & make a phenomenal cobbler but the jam is a lot of work for something that ends up tasting just like blackberry jam from the store.
