music Post your guitar porn here!

Well, I don't play in a band or gig, so they'll never see a stage again as long as I have them. They'll be well cared for. Let me know if you have regrets. I'll send 'em back to ya.

No regrets at all. Just drunk and remembering when I was a little less sic.

I always feel like there is a little life in everything. When I get something first thing I think is what did these dudes see? What kind of stuff happened, ect, ect.

Basically what im saying is you bought some pick ups from a serial killer

JOKE!

Well it ain't as pretty or as expensive as a lot of collections and rigs I've seen here, but Its still growin. Here's my collection of panty droppers

Haha just saw evidence of my stupidity. Bottom right corner, see my bare foot. Standing on top of a rolling chair. That coulda been bad lol

Nice twilliams. I was never ambitious enough to pike up those pesky fret less instruments to go along with the guitar.

very nice guitars and other instruments you all have there folks... I can see the connection between the love for music and the love for peppers :)

these are my babies... not so recent picture, but I like it....

the axe's are all still with me, but the amp was sold a few years ago when I didn't need it anymore... now I got some cheap 5W tube amp and a 2x12 cab., which can also be too loud for the house :) the setup is pretty much the same... just changed the pickups on that Fenix strat to Fender's tex-mex...

I don't play a lot since I had kids, just doodling here and there.... waiting for the kick in the butt to start again

what is that a EX-50?  I dig the finish.

It is an EX, but it is the EX-400BD. EMG 81/60, Earvanna nut, set neck. A bit of an upgrade from the 50. I have had it for at least 10 years now. It has been my go-to guitar and one I don't think I could ever part with. The only real issue I have had with it is the paint chipping easily, but to be fair, it has seem some wild shows.

Ah i see the pups now. Didnt really look at first . reckonized the shape because I had one Back in the day . I traded a squier tele and cut dudes yard for that guitar, lol. For real the deal came down to me cutting his yard one time

It was white and i thought I was James Hetfield.

I have been nothing but impressed with ESP products. Schecter as well. Right now I run it through a Roland Cube 30X. Pretty decent little modeling amp for the price, but I'll tell ya, it just doesn't have the same level of raw tonal awesomeness that my old 5150 stack had. Once I get the funds, I'm going to invest in something along the lines of an ENGL Savage.

I've had my Hellraiser for a while now, and I can't see any reason that I would get rid of it. It is my go to guitar for any newer metal.

There is a reason the 5150/6505 is the king of the metal amps.

Since I play more classic metal (read Marshal-ish) and needed good cleans, I opted for a XXX instead, it does a nice job of both; but I heard Peavey is coming out with a 6505 mini head. That and a 212 cabinet of V30s just may be in my future (to keep the XXX company).

The only downside to the 5150 is it's lack of versatility. I used the 5150, run through a XXX 4-12 cab and an Avatar 2-12 cab (both cabs loaded with V30s), for distortion and a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4-10" combo for my cleans. My pedal board was fairly basic too and generally consisted of a Boss MT-2 (it had it's place!), Boss RV-5, Boss DD-3, Boss CE-5, Boss GE-7, Boss NS-2 and a Morley Bad Horsie.

I feel that lack of versatility, like the 5150, is going to be the only downfall of the ENGL I want. But, you can't argue with that tone! Not quite as dark as the 5150 and a lot tighter.

I doubt I will ever be able to play like I used to, but, at least I can sound good while not playing that well, right?

Haha, yall got me digging through old photos. I remember that pedal! Electro Harmonix Holiest Grail. I hated that thing! Traded that off for most of my the Boss pedals I used for years.

Holy crap! I had hair!

Try out a XXX/JSX/XXXII sometime. With the right active pickups, and a TS-9 in front, I have no problem producing the tight metal sounds. Heck, the gain is only on 4 or so right now. The cleans are much better than the 5150/6505, especially with a stratocaster.

Were you happy with that Avatar cab?  I was thinking about building a 212 cab but for the price of the Avatars, I couldn't even buy all of the parts.

I have played around with the XXX and JSX a bit. Never had the funds to actually purchase one.

I still have that Avatar cab! It is covered in about half an inch of dust. I don't know about now, but back in the day, they were cheap cabs with good features. I never had any complaints about it.
