Professional football

I moved to Washington when I was 10 in 1978....

That's all it took.

I frequent various football fan forums. Actually like other teams forums more than the Eagles forum. Eagles fans are Knuttz  TATERS(Talk About The Eagles) are a very sad group

Anyway, every NFC east team, or so it seems, has this stupid emoticon with an empty trophy case as the end all and be all to every debate.

Moral of this little ummm story?

Better to have old trophies to polish than only shelves to dust?!?

That's a good point. However, my daughter was in diapers the last time the Redskins won....and she's in college now.

Hey way,,,from atl myself and damn yea they ai`nt pretty but for a change they are DOING IT! Go war chikins!

Yea Hixs, Last year was the first ever!! back to back winning seasons! Well, yesterday came and went and no one in the ATL is even mentioning that this is a third!! We have bigger goals in mind! :) Go Coons!

As a Green Bay fan, gotta give congrats to the Falcons. Great team, with a running game I wish the Pack had some of. I can deal with a road loss to a great team.

Paulky- you ever see this- this dude unhinges on the radio the day after that Skins/Eagles game a couple Mondays ago... Lavar Arrington keeps eggin him on w/ these "GET EMS"...

LOL Boutros, That is funny! I personally had to turn off that game in the 2nd,, Vick really screwed my Falcons..Hate to see him succeed.

The Falcons have been on a real run and are playing exceptionally well at home.

They really exposed Green Bay's lack of a running game.

I was a huge Raider's fan from 1980 until 2005, at which point I decided until Al Davis retired or died, I'd have to pick a better managed team.

Yup...that pretty much sums up what it's like to be a Redskins fan.

There are a couple of what look to be good physical AFC evening matchups on this week's schedule.

On Sunday night the Steelers hope to even the score with Baltimore for their lose to the Raven's earlier in the year.

A lot of people are thinking that Pittsburgh might have a slight edge now that Big Ben is back.

These two teams have a history of very close games, but I think that Baltimore will find a way to get the sweep in this season's series and the inside track for winning their division.

And on Monday night, the Pats will host the Jets, for what could be the number one seeding in the playoffs for the AFC.

My feeling is that the Pats will expose the Jets for the pretenders that they are, despite the fact that their coach Sexy Rexy keeps saying they are the best team in the NFL.

Guess we'll all know who's who in the zoo after Monday Night's brawl.;)

Want to hear something really funny? The Rams are in first place. First. Place. Oh my!

The NFC West is a woeful division, but St. Louis has made a nice turnaround over the last few seasons there, and now look to have a bright future ahead with their young and talented QB.

And I have to give credit to the Pittsburgh Steelers who struggled offensively most of the night but still managed to find a way to close the deal against the Ravens last Sunday.

Despite Big Ben hobbling around on a bad ankle and having his nose broken on his first offensive series, he hung in there and survived that bloody and hard hitting battle in Baltimore.

Games involving the Steelers and Ravens are probably the most violent in terms of hitting that you'll see in the NFL.

And those two teams are so closely matched in so many statistical categories that they might as well be twins.

And as for the Jets, they might as well be getting ready for Miami to the best of their ability for next Sunday.

They are still in a good position for a playoff spot, and need to now focus on the games at hand as the last quarter of the season winds down.

True with the NFC West. Still good to see them winning again.

I was a little bit surprised with the way the Pats dominated the Jets. Thought things would be much closer. New England's defense is growing right before our eyes. I freaking hate the Pats too. I didn't like Mr. Perfect QB Brady but I have to give him some credit since he was cool enough to voice himself on Family Guy.

I'm in MO right now and everyone is surprised by the Rams latest season, particularly after last year.

But the Saints are going to sacrifice and BBQ them this weekend as is fitting theology--rams being sacrifice for the saints.

I freaking hate the Pats too.

Even so, I bet you're cheering for the Pat's undersized all purpose running back/special teams guy, Danny Woodhead, a down to earth Nebraska boy.;)

Great story on the Woodhead kid yesterday on the SI website:
