Season 2009 JungleRain

I don't use my hands to save seeds. I just place the whole rinsed pods inside the vacuum chamber. Then Bender cuts them up and removes the seeds with a knife and fork for me. ;) He's faster and cleaner too(but he drinks alot). I could shake his hand even before he cleans up, with no worries.
Wow JR those wild exotics look so cool. They look perfect as tropical looking landscaping plants or in your woods. They'd be like, "Dude that weed's got berries on it. Are they poisonous?" :shocked:

Nice closeup of some wicked juice JR. :hell:

Use rubber gloves next time, latex is useless. :)

Sweet pic JR. That will definitely leave a nasty burn. What kind of camera are you using to get those nice closeups?
I never use gloves. I wash my hands with dishsoap continuously and it seems to get the capsaisin off. oil vs oil.

Good looking scorpion Pod Grant and nice macro shot of the capsaisin oil but why does it look like white ice on your pepper. Do you freeze before you deseed because that could kill seeds? Great pod shots all around your garden. Any Chocolate Scorpions ripen your way yet?

I don't freeze the pepper before deseeding, that one fresh straight off the plant. I cut down one side then tor it open.
The Chocolate Sccorpions still aren't ripe yet, but there are some really nice looking ones, pics to come.

I am using a Canon IXUS 75, nothing special, some times it takes a few shots to get the right pic

I guess I'll have to put up with the pain, I tried the rubber gloves and it makes deseeding to slow, guess I'll just have to change latex gloves more often and use 2 layers at once

Yeah, I've had the same sorta "white ice" thing in some 7 Jonahs before. Off of strong, perfectly healthy plants. Cool stuff JR!

Maybe you used some that were too thick to feel your work. I use these gloves and they aren't any more hindering than latex, but still don't provide the tactile feedback you get when going naked. It's almost as bad as wearing a condom. :lol:

Sorry guys I haven't been on for a while, had a few family issues....But anyway here's a new update;

Mata Frade

The Mata Frade's fruit has a very fruity taste with a heat of around 7/10, the plant is around 45cms high x 30 cms wide.
One and sometimes two flowers/pods develope at each node, the fruit averages 1 cm round and are thick walled,
starting in color purple/black ripening through to green then orange/brown and finally bright red.
