I need to clean the weeds around the Pineapples, but they are doing pretty good. These are about the size of a pint jar now.

Here is the oldest pineapple plant on the property. The fruit is now about the size of a quart jar and it has about 6 pups growing below the fruit. When the pups get a little bigger I can take them off to start new plants.

Really is near perfect climate where you are. Although we have nice warm temps here (too warm usually) still have a freeze in tube winter. Can't grow tropical stuff or citrus where I live

Well, I might as well get this on the record as this was a bit of an experiment, seeds planted 01/11/20, germinated approx 01/18/20, 5 seedlings moved to 4 inch pots 01/22/20, transplanted one each to 15 gallon containers 02/17/20, buds emerge from 03/19/20 to 03/28/20.

My last artichoke grow in MN was the best one I ever had(to date), 3 plants in a 110 gal stock tank, 2 in 55 gal drums, and several in 32 gal trash cans. Here is a pic of those.

Made some Kohlrabi Kimchi today. Put the good ol Kitchen Aid Dicing attachment to work and diced up the 10 pounds of kohlrabi and 3 pounds of carrots. Then I ground up 3 really large white onions and 3 pounds of radishes and ended up with a big bowl full like this.

Then I mixed up the spice paste with the following ingredients: 2 fl oz Tamari, 2 fl oz Fish Sauce, 1 big hunk of ginger, a handfull of fresh cayenne peppers and 2 Devils Brains. I buzzed this in the Magic Bullet and mixed it into the bowl real good and then packed it into the jars and topped them with some of the left over brine from soaking the kohlrabi. Now its ready to ferment.

A little short of 2 1/2 gallons. I will see how good it is in about a month.(maybe sooner on the 1/2 gal jar)

Hmmmmm, I think I should have posted this in my 2020 Flog. Oh well, it’s here now.

Hung up the good ol air dryer in the corner of the screen porch. I just put some dill in it now to dry, later I will use it for mint, various peppers to crush, and I may start some stevia again and will air dry that also.

Sorry to drag an old cow out of the ditch... But how well does it work for peppers?

What type of climate do you experience in Central Florida? Tropical, subtropical, humid, dry, rainy season, ... ?

Nice land you have :)

It has worked pretty well since I put it up. It is in a corner of the screen porch that gets sun from sunup to just past noon. I would say tropical from now thru October, we just finished our dry season. I dried some cayenne and some bird/thai? peppers off of a plant that came with the place. I will see how it works from here forward. It worked good for those, I clip the stem off at the pepper so they dry inside faster.

I took the pits/seeds from the mangos I juiced the other night per my Flog  http://thehotpepper.com/topic/73341-skullbikers-staying-healthy-in-2020-flog/page-3   and washed/brushed all the flesh off and let them dry for a day.

Then I carefully cut the casing along one edge and removed the seeds.

Later today or tomorrow in between rains I will plant these in 2 or 3 gallon pots. And then wait.

I also cleaned up some Miracle Fruit seeds and will try to get those planted this weekend also. They are a little fussier, the medium and water need to have the ph adjusted to 4.5–5.5 to allow germination.

I have four seeds in seed starting coir now that I planted several weeks ago. One emerged about a week ago. They look strange as they look like just a skinny little stalk with no leaves, then later the leaves begin to form which is where it is now.
