I pick my last Kossak Kohlrabi this afternoon.

It weighed up pretty good!

Might have to make some more Kohlrabi Kimchi and maybe some Kohlrabi Cole Slaw.

It's nice to see you can grow kohlrabi in your climate. Perhaps I should give it a try as well...

For mango seeds, I have used a wet paper towel method. Once the root leaves the polyembryonic seed I place it some dirt. Now is a good time to germinate, they love hot and wet - but in the early stage can be susceptible to fungus attack. I am currently germinating "mango piña", a local cultivar characterized for its pineapple taste.

I really like Kohlrabi Kimchi so I posted the recipe here:   http://thehotpepper.com/topic/73341-skullbikers-staying-healthy-in-2020-flog/page-3

I will have to do a little research on the Mango Piña, I think if i juiced that and mixed it with fresh orange juice wood be very good.
As far as planting the seeds, I did the same as last year when 5 of 5 seeds germinated, in a pot of native top soil/sand. One of the plants I started last year is about 5 feet tall now.

Mango Piña is a local cultivar from Chiapas. It is of the manila type, usually green with some dashes of yellow and/or red when ripe. It is quite a fibrous mango and we usually do not cut it up, but rather suck up the juicy pulp. I always have its juice running down my arms to my elbows and further dripping on the ground...

Its smell and taste are reminiscent of pineapple, hence the name. You might already be familiar with it though. When you harvest a mango, especially one that is not fully ripe yet, a resin flows out of the stem. This resin has a very aromatic smell, but cannot be detected in the mango fruit itself. In mango piña, however, this aroma is partially present in the fruit as well and creates its particular flavour. At least, that is how I would describe it... I'm not a mango specialist :)

Its production is for the local markets and it sells relatively cheap. I have bought mango ataúlfo at M$ 20 for seven or eight large fruits, and mango piña at M$ 10 for five fruits of reasonable size, six if there were only smaller ones.

A photo I grabbed from FB via google:

I just potted up the Papaya trees that I got from Peppergator yesterday. From 6 inch pots to 4 gallon pots.

The Mangos are coming heavy now, 3-4 per day.

Edit: The wind started blowing after lunch and I picked 3 more Mangos off the ground.

I have never seen aloe plants flower.  I remember my mom keeping aloe plants but never saw them even attempt to flower.  Seems like everything you grow does well.
Both of my grand mothers had them and my mother had them, but always indoors by a window. I think the fact that these are outside year around makes the difference. [emoji41] [emoji3508] FLORIDA
