Will you allow them to crawl over the ground or with trellis?
I will let them vine on the ground. I have wood chips there that I put down last year.

Most of the first round of tomato plants are starting to flower now.
I dug up the ginger. This is about a third of it, the other 2/3 got replanted.

Your ginger looks very good. I grew it as well and was surprised by its strong aroma. This year I'll be growing curcuma.

The melons are beginning to put out the first flowers to put out a signal for the bees to come around.
I counted 17 pineapple buds yesterday.
FINALLY! The bunch of bananas hanging in the screen porch are ready. I had one last night and one in my smoothie this morning and they are very sweet.

I had a couple of Macadamia germinate recently.
One seems to be polyembryonic and the other came up and the tip died off, I left it alone and now it has side shoots.

On the vegetable front I pulled up a couple of my Daikon Radishes as they looked like they were about to bolt. I sampled one and it is quite tasty(if you like radishes). I have a bunch of these going so I'm going to explore ways to preserve them.
It looks like the first little fruit may be forming on one of my cantaloupe plants. I am assuming it got polinated as the bees have been around.

I used metaldehyde pellets to keep slugs at bay when I still lived in Europe. It worked quite well.
A few Passion Fruits. I didn't expect to get any as I never got the plants out of the gallon pots.
