food SnF's Feastival!

We were supposed to get a frost last night so we went out back and gathered up all we could.  I pickled about 8 quarts of green tomatoes and fried up the rest.  :D

Served them with a roasted garlic remoulade and some of GiP's Kiss the Sun hot sauce, which was excellent!  Also discovered Breckenridge makes better beer than bourbon lol.

Very nice!!!!! Do you put any parm cheese in your breading? I love some fried green maters. A good buttermilk ranch too but that remo sounds killer!

Dang, those look gud! I can't believe I forgot to make fried green tomatoes once this season  . Thanks for reminding me (and for the cheese trick!  ).
Now I need to check my garden later and see if I can find a few raw materials...

Ranch is always my go-to as well, but cheese crusted tomatoes with garlic remoulade just sounds too good to not give a shot. Maybe crumble some tangy chinense flakes like fatalii or yellow scorpion on top, too. MMMMM!

Catching up with some old stuff - Enchiladas!!!

Wicked Mike sent me some dried chile pulla pods for Christmas (yeah he's the fkn man!) and when I first got them I immediately thought they'd be great in a mole or a sauce for enchiladas.  Without further ado:
