Yep we are in for it JayT -- Just came in after getting necessities Gas for the snowblower and gas for me (Kettle One) Still waiting to see what this storm will bring the weather people are still speculating
What part of PA JayT? I have a grandaughter with an 18 month old son and her friend leaving middle PA for the trip back to MN. They are leaving tomorrow. I sure hope they drive west and miss all the stormy stuff. They were supposed to be nearly home by now..you know how that goes...her friend found a likely looking guy and plans got delayed.
I know you guys must hate it but I have never really seen snow in that ammount and would love to see it all. I've only ever seen snow once on a skiing holiday but it was the worst season on record and it didn't even snow... They used fake snow to keep the slopes white....
We got about 8" today and the power was off for two hours this morning. I shoveled out twice today and filled the bird feeders 4 times. The southern part of the state has 24" already and is expecting another 12" tonight.
To answer somebody's question, you best have a 4 wheel drive if you plan on going anywhere. I have a full size Chevy 4X4 Silverado. Didn't have any issues getting around today.
Somewhere between 14-16 depending on where you measure. The first shot is out my front door, the second my deck which is somewhat sheltered by the neighbors fence.
I'm enjoying it AJ. Haven't left the house for two days. Right now I am sitting here drinking a bloody mary and talking to you while I wait for my Deer & Beer Chili w/ Bhut cheddar cornbread to finish simmering and baking. It doesn't get much better than that!
Just got to the Nut Factory, we got 21 inches on the peninsula. I was stranded all day yesterday, had plenty of booze and food, no internet........ Will take some pics tomorrow, hell of a storm that had the bars shut down on a saturday night..
That and the gas stations are usually the only things open here when it gets like that. They never close a lot of our bars. Even on Christmas a lot of them open in the afternoon!
