Nice work, your plants are looking on the up and up. Great turn around the young ones look healthy. I bet those poppers were tasty........yum Greg
Yeah man...I just wish I could've eaten my fill! Broke my heart sending them off with my daughter. Mini update, the recent plant is still moving pretty slow. Won't be long and they'll start popping quicker. One of the 7 pot primos popped today though, so I'm somewhat stoked! Recent pics of the babies back inside under the lights...

Tucking them in for the night in their mylar blankets...and yes the lights are only raised for the pic. Once again thanks for checking my little grow out! The larger plants are all still sleeping outside. Hope to have some bloom pics by this weekend! We shall see...they've been dropping some of the buds, but I think they are starting to take it serious now. Hope your grows are as fun as mine! Shane

These things are growing like weed now! Well...except for one. I cut back on watering after they yellowed a while back. They all looked really healthy till I pulled out a tray tonight and one looked like I ran it through the dehydrator...maybe it'll come back??? It was a Chocolate Hab that sprouted late...oh well I got 3 more that are doing well if it doesn't make it! I was only planning on keeping 2 each...

Couple pics...more on the weekend.

Purple Bhut

That's it for now...my new Duty Station is 100 miles each way in LA and San Diego traffic, so not much time for the plants during the week. Good thing momma is helping out!

Post more on the weekend.
Thanks for checking my grow out!
Shane

37 variety, wow... get more 3 and you'll get 40 (lol), i hope you have space for all of them, it's gonna be quite dense.

I'll make space...time on the other hand? I have about 10 more seed varieties, so I could make it happen. These last few rounds I expect to have some duds. If all else fails I know at least 6 or 7 THP members live close by...maybe they'll give them a good home!

+1 7 Pot Monster Infinity! Woot!!! Also I got another triple cotyldon and another one with a double-leafed cotyldon on one side.

I moved all the young'ns back out into the greenhouse for the weekend...and maybe from now on. I really only put them inside until I figured out how dedicated the wife would be to opening the greenhouse on time every day. I only left the most mature and my overwinters in there this week...and she did great! I might leave them out there. I am thinking of adding a fan on a timer or thermostat during the day to eliminate the need to open and close it, maybe with some plastic dryer vent louvers...We'll see. Will add some pics tomorrow or Sunday. Busy weekend...

Hope you all are having as much fun as I am!
Shane

Your plants look amazing love how that purple bhut looks I just got into the same boat as you keep adding seeds and it keep making me want to add more to my current rotation I am looking to add 4 or 5 more once the last package gets here I try to post a pic of the ones I have to decide between.

Thanks man! Member generosity and my lack of self discipline have caused this! I started off with a few varieties in mind, and while trying to trade for them,,,extra seeds just kept showing up! All those seeds were saying "pick me! Pick Me! PICK ME!" So I did...now look at what I got! Oh...now I got Big JIm and Aji Amarillo on the way  I have other varieties similar so I may save them for next season :shame: ...I just know they'll both show up with voices like the other seeds just begging to be planted! :banghead:

Thought I had two more triple cotyledons but upon closer inspection of one of them I noticed that although it appeared to be a triple one set of leaves were fused. So...a double cotyledon on one side and a single on the other!

P1000148.jpg

Sorry about the blurry image...it was having a hard time focusing in the evening light. Its top leaves are fused at the base. Its a Black Naga...

Today was too busy to mess with the plants much. Hope to put in a big update tomorrow. Maybe photos of the best couple of each variety. I really need a nice day in the garden. I had a few more hook up for me this morning, I am going to wait and see if any more pop tomorrow before I do another germination update. 0 on the Brain Strains, Kaval F1, Orange Bhuts and Peruvian White Habs...if the bhuts don't pop I'll be ok with it, but could use some positive thinking from all you folks that read this for the others! Especially the White Habs and Kaval! Fingers crossed everyone!

I might also prepare some extra mounds for all the extra plants and work on the irrigation a bit.
Thanks for looking,
Shane

Finally able to get some garden time today...and contrary to the forecast the rain started today, and not tomorrow. During a short break in the action I got out to snap a few pics. Found some good things and some not so good things! Good things, I have blooms open or opening on about a dozen plants. Jalapeno overwinters are in the lead with what I think is the first pods forming. Close second is my first to germinate this year Cayenne. with buds opening as well. The buds on my mucho nacho forming then drew my attention to the BAD...found a few aphids in there. So it may be time to release the ladybug cracken on their A$$es!!!

Well there it is for now. Thanks for the well wishes yesterday one of the Brains had popped this morning! Keep those fingers crossed for the White Hab and Kaval!

Once again thanks for looking!
Shane

Wow Shane your babies look great. How many total plants are you planing on growing this year? Over 100?

Thanks Jamie

Funny you should ask that! My original plan was to keep 4-6 of each Jalapeno variety, Bells and Anaheim's. The Anaheims I planted didn't sprout so I only ended up with 3 overwinters. I was then going to keep 1 or 2 of each of the others let my son sell off the extras at a lemonade type stand down the block when everyone else is starting their gardens...but I've grown so attached! I have already expanded the garden area, removed some of the landlords landscaping and purchased 20 5# containers. I may purchase 10 more??? Then I will try to figure out how many plants I can get in there...and then sell or give away the rest.

Every time I tried to trade for 1 or 2 varieties...5 or 10 varieties would show up. They all sounded so cool I couldn't resist! I have 10 or so more varieties that I didn't even plant!

I do have plenty of room, but time is a different story...you asking that question made me actually count. I think I have 111 up and running and 7 more waiting to pop. OUCH! I will probably only grow out 60-70(ish). Hell I don't know...I may just grow them all and keep some bonsai'd in small pots??? Or I might get pissed off and sell them all! lol :drunk:
The generosity of the members on the forum has caused a sharp rise in my electric bill!!!!!
Thanks for checking out my grow...any input or recommendation on where to trim fat is welcome!

Shane

Don't trim anything! You've really got it goin', now, Shane - that little greenhouse is really workin' for ya!
Great looking plants, especially that little fatali! Good luck keeping your grow under 100 plants!

Thanks man...I know some of them have to go though. I have way too many! Now that my overwinter Jalapenos are kicking I know I can get rid of some of the new starts. As for the rest we'll see what I can make happen.

Yeah...some of them are going to make the choice easy, others aren't.

I am now doing battle with slugs! You can see a little slug damage on the Fatalii photo above, I got home last night to find a couple of my plants really eaten up, and they have destroyed my turnip greens. Grrrr...I did some research on slug prevention and decided to give coffee a try. I sprayed them heavily last night and will start spreading our coffee grounds in there as well, I guess we'll see.
Sluggo is going to be my next choice...any thoughts?

Hey Shane,

All your plants are looking very healthy. I like the "goat's weed". That's one that I overwintered this year. It's getting that robust "conical" upward growth also.
Those purple bhuts look pretty cool too...

Greg
