Okay, the cute little blond did not come with the package, LOL! She was leaning as far in as she could though, to make sure she was part of the picture.

Can't wait to try these.

Some of these I recognize, like the Bishops Hats and the Manzanos, but can you help my identify everything else?

I know I'm not growing a lot of hot stuff, but if there's anything of mine you'd like seeds from let me know. Or if you'd like to try some of my pepper jelly, I can hook you up.

Thanks again!

Thanks Eric!

Bonnie,
The Yellows center top are Jamaican Hot Yellows, left below the bishop's crowns are Aji Limons, Tepins in the container, the reds to the right of the container are Red Lantern Habaneros, next to those and below the Manzanos are Aji Omnicolors, to the for right below the Manzanos are what look like 3 more Red Lanterns and 1 small Bishop's crown, far left again below the Ajis are some (not) Douglahs, below them are 5 Yellow Bhut Jolokias, the big group of yellows bottom middle are all Scotch Bonnets, The far right top to bottom are Goat's Weed with a few Explosive Embers mixed in with them and bottom right are Tri-colored Variagata.

Some of these are stretching your heat level a bit, but none are horrible. Don't be too scared of the (not) Douglahs they are about the same heat wise as the Scotch Bonnets. The hottest of the group should be the Yellow Bhuts or Red Lantern Habs, but don't let the Manzanos or Jamaican Hot Yellows fool you they're pretty damn hot too. I tried to include a bunch of stuff I hadn't seen you grow that I thought you may want to try in the future. I think you'll really like the Bishop's Crowns, they are mild and sweet on the outside, but if you get into the placenta you'll feel a nice burn. I didn't have any ripe purple bhuts, but their heat and flavor are similar to the Jamaican Hot Yellows. Enjoy!

Thank you for the quick and detailed response, Shane! It all makes sense now.

I tried a Manzano with dinner tonight and really enjoyed it! They are pretty juicy, and my lips were burning pretty good for a few minutes. The shape and texture reminds me of an Alma Paprika, except hotter of course.

Think I'll try a Scotch Bonnet next ...

From your pictures earlier in the season, I thought the Goat's Weed pods were longer, maybe closer to 3". Are these smaller than the ones harvested earlier in the season? Looking forward to tasting those, as they are on my tentative growlist for next year.

Do you usually just dry the Tepins whole? The Pequins I'm growing are even smaller than those, and there's like a bazillion on the plant. Not sure what in the world to do with those tiny little things, other than dry them.

I really appreciate the selection you sent me. It should help me narrow down my growlist for next year. Thanks for your generosity!

Happy 29 your Chiefness!I will eat a Brown 7 for your birthday, I will wash it down with Shiner Octoberfest- i HAVE NEEDED A GOOD EXCUSE, BECAUSE I VIVIDLY REMEMBER the last one I ate. and I have been putting it off for the last 2 days, for that very reason....at least its from the plant I haven't tried one from yet.

Yet another amazing care package sent out by the Shanster!!

And I highly recommend you take Bonnie up on her jelly offer. It is amazing.

Hey Shane
I cut one of your Manzanos into some Queso Fundido I made yesterday and it was Kick@&&! I definitely wouldn't hesitate to use one of these in any savory dish... especially if they have eggs, cumin and/or cheese in them! The aroma I got from them reminded me a little of Apricots. They're juicy and crunchy, but not particularly sweet. I'm definitely going to try to grow these next year! Thanks Chief!

Your description of the Bishops Crown was right on the money. Ate one with a scrambled egg sandwich for lunch today. The outside "flaps" were crunchy and sweet. I even gave my daughter a little bite, and the last couple of bites from the underside surprised me with their heat, which of course, amused the children immensely.

I'm making White Chicken Chili for dinner tonight. Hmmm ... need to figure out which peppers to try next.

Lovely looking care package. I really enjoyed the hats this season, although I am burnt out on eating them right now. Big bushy tall plants with lots of fruit.

Your harvests were awesome this year.

Thanks for the Bday wishes everyone! It was a good one! The care packages are just my way of paying it forward...and making momma happy!!!

Didn't have a ton of time this weekend for pics, but managed to snap just a couple harvest photos...but first!

Came home Friday to a kick-a package from Jamie!!!

A nice pull of Brains...finally!!!

Almost done...one or two more care packages depending on next weeks pull. I got most of today's into the freezer and dehydrator, and ate the rest with dinner! :flamethrower: Once I cross the last couple care packages off the list...I'm done for the season!!!
Hope your weekends were as BA as mine!
Shane

Nice looking pull of Brains! Did you start all your chiles at the same time, or were the Brains the last ones? I'll be sorry to see your season end, but looking forward to next year!

Still consistently amazed at your haul - and that you make it out there to pick them so often! You're a busy guy, but still get out there. I'm impressed.
