food STEAK!!

So. I may never post in this thread again since I don't eat much steak... But I'm staying at my dad's for a hot minute since my dog just had surgery and can't go up the stairs to my apt.  Tonight was my way to say thanks to my dad for everything he's done for me n' my pooches.

So lets start the night off with some filets marinating in bacon fat.

Then pull out the rosemary, garlic, and bacon, cause we're making some mashed potatoes.

When the time comes, season up the meat.  my pop's can't handle much heat  so I let him season them up.  He's got a bad heart so I didn't want to forget which steak had naga powder on it and have him chomp into it and trigger his 4th heart attack (I think we're on 4 now, I lost count). I had my powders and peppers on the side for myself.

The appetizer while the steaks were on the grill. Baked goat cheese with seasoned roasted tomatoes and garlic.

The shot of the bacon fat sauteed green beans, and the cut steak.

and Oh! I forgot to get my beer in a shot.

All three dogs (my 2 whities and his husky) each got some steak as well.
So hey dad, you'll never read this, but thanks for everything!

Oh sheeitskys!

I wanna' be your 'dawg in ways that would make my mama slap the sheeit out of me repeatedly and often!

I may not eat much meat but it don't mean I don't want it.

I'd eat missylou's dog food for a week for that steak.

Oh my... What an hell of a thread!!!
Steak cooked in that ways could be best dish ever.
I like especially when i see raw meat with little or no liquid loss. If meat is hot with this situation it's perfect cooking imho. Very difficult to attain.
Sometimes i too cook but not always with good results (besides sometimes i use electric grill, this deserves embers) not often since cow rib it's quite expensive.
If meat is good (you notice fat parts are delicious) i prefer it in the simple way: evo oil, salt, black pepper and a rosemary branch to spread oil.
Of course 4-5 cm thickness at least (but rarely i can have it in this way).

Damn, there is some good looking meat in this thread!!

A little blasphemy w/ Wishbone dressing.

Asian Black Pepper Marinated Steaks

I took a jar of Tuong Bo Luc Lac that I got at the local Asian grocery, added some ginger, a little Sriracha, some of my superhot powder blend, a little Rice Vinegar and a splash of lime an marinated for a day.  I dried off the marinade and sprinkled with sea salt and yet a little more cracked black pepper and cooked in a hot pan on the stove.

Whenever Sum comes over, we gotta bust out the tenderloin of an animal. This time, it happens to be beef. Boosh!

Filet, cut thick, marinated in soy, garlic, and ginger. Grilled over hot charcoal.
Served with grilled Green Tomato. Yep Grilled Green Tomato. It's awesome. Salt and pepper. Give it a shot!

We made a chutney with charred cachucha peppers, olive oil, S&P, lime juice.

It was a little chilly outside, so we lit a fire and snuggled under a crocheted afghan as we fed each other.
