Ohhhhhhhhhh LC.... This is Drunken Chef.... where quantity, not quality is where it's at. Paul did wrap it up with quality. Good job on his part... SoFlo wouldn't have pulled that off.

On Drunken Chef, Busch= WIN for me.

[Disclaimer: I fell over trying to type this... too many Busch products... True Story]

There certainly is no shame in cheap beer, but why a despicable Busch product over the quality and taste of Keystone Light which has been paulky's standard and mine too. next to Alaska Amber that is.

Cheap box wine though elevate's that swill into stratospheric height's of gloryessnees All shall be revealed manana,,,while moving through Kashmiiiiiiiirrrrrrr,,,,,,,uh! hit it!,,,

Shocking indeed. The switch from Keystone is not a normal P2K move...

But take a gander at how many crushed cans he added to the mix.

SoFlo has a thing for crushed cans. Usually crushed cans= awesomeness grubbage.

Ain't no doubt about awesomeness there, wouldn't hurt my feelings to be in Kentucky dining on that. He must have been desparate and ran out of Keystone.

Big day diving and cbf so hot dogs revisited with 'ol trusty...beer.

And TB, 'aint nuthin wrong with tight fisted cheffin' Don't know one chef who's willing to pay out on ingredients. If it looks intact, wipe it off and send it back out I say!

Grilled bun with tasty cheese and a big 'ol chorizo snoggage

Doritos hot salsa on the chorizo and some rough chopped red onion and habenero for the extra spicyness.

My drunken cheffery has sunk to new lows...which actually translates to a WIN! Bought some cheap box cab, 3 liters for $10 shekels. Tastes like all the other generic low end blend of juices. Not bad. Friday is fish night here but fish prices have spiked thus I am boycotting the foolishnessess and buying frozen and canned. (Sardine's and canned salmon are a cheap and wunnerful' 'thang)

I raided mrs. blues stash of cheapo fish sticks aimin' to somehow come up with an edible fish taco. I believe the species used in these fish sticks is the common paper fish which is reflected in its overall taste. Hmmph. That just won't do. EPIPHANY! Buffalo style fish sticks!!
Mixed equal parts of Frank's and olive oil and tossed the baked fishy sticky's in the vinegary concoction. The lingering aroma of cayenne was intoxicating. No wait. That was the wine. Corn tore tillah's, Onion, Fresh 'peno, and some white non descript guv''ment style cheese and bada bing bada boom...Texas trailor trash buffalo fish stick taco's. I'm swooning here....

The Torpedo Red..

Glad you asked!

I went to the grocery store for my usual 24-pack of cold, refreshing Keystone Light when, as I reached for the handy built-in carrying handle, I noticed something terrible.....

...the price had gone up.

And not just a little....it had gone from a comfy $10.49 to an astonishing $13.99!! I thought...."$2.50.....in ONE DAY?(yeah...I had bought one yesterday....what ABOUT it?) Screw THAT!!"

As I sat there thunderstruck in the beer aisle at the local Kroger......smoke issuing from my ear holes......I noticed the pale-blue boxes right between my beloved Keystone and the Milwaukee's Best;

Natural Light.

....and the price.....$10.49!!! :woohoo: *que the angel harp music and trumpets*

Well...I had plenty of experience with this Busch product....as me and my faithful sidekick used to drink two cases a night of the stuff out of the long-neck returnable bottles back in college. (College: n. 1)The place young men go to learn how to drink beer. 2)A bar with a $25,000 cover charge.)

So....until a) The prices level out. or b) I re-join the ranks of the EMPLOYED....

Looks like the new Circle-H house-beer will be Natural Light.

And this, my droogies, IS a True Story.

Oh yes....and DTS.....sweet lookin' grubbage!!

TB,

Pretty darn good lookin' for cheap. What was it, less than a dollar a serving?

I see a new restaurant in the making...TB's Trailer Trash Diner

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU.

I'll have to take an "aftermath" photo of all the extra bottles soon. I should never be left home alone.

I feel for ya TB. Ima skeered that you may take some ribbin' for the fishsticks. Hey pal, I am coming to your rescue. I will be making a dish today that we concocted together. Chorizo Queso ala AJ.

Marcie rules in the fine DC tradition. Tipped over beer bottle garners extra points. Wings for the H B & R.

Jay...that stuff is KILLIN! Is it for a dip or some other scientific experiment?

mmc... thank for the kudos on the cheapness. I can see myself selling cheap box wine and fish stick tacos out of a curbside hot dog cart ....only to be robbed by a roving gang of cookie pushing girl scouts.

I made Defcon wings last night too Marcie! And an experiment with HBD's new sauce 1841. 1841 wings on the inside the ring around the outside is a mix of Defcon 1,2, and the 1841.

TB, I am starting with the dip, but I am thinking maybe some poppers might be in order. We'll see what the day/night brings

Awesome, JayT! I actually drizzled a little 1498 on my wings as I ate them! (And some bleu cheese).

I actually just keep the bottle of 1498 in my purse now. I should hit up some of this 1841 sauce.
