food The Drunken Chef

Naw, I think they pump the smell out to make folks drool when they go by!!!!! ;)

it works.

It does work.... small town cafe right on the main street...July 4th parade...about 1/2way through the parade, we'd start grilling onions....ventilation system....worked every time! CarniBurger Specials!

I pass the almond roca factory everyday going to and from work. :) It does sound good.
Dp, counting posts without pics again, you must be bored to tears up there. :)

Here's a Pic for you and Scovie and TB probably have a bottle or two stashed away.

Do they still do the Daffodil Festival? I remember my brother and I used to sell them on the street corners during it. Our dad was on the board of Daffodillians. I think mom still has the Green Jacket they wore put away some where

And now back to the DC'in

So for our drunkin New Years Eve fare we decided to make something quick, easy and filling. Scratch made Alfrado and Red Sauce over thin Spaghetti and homemade herb, fresh garlic, rosemary and oregano, herb bread. Now for pics:

Alfrado, not too heavy on the nutmeg.

That Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc is the first we've had from this vineyard. It's from New Zealand and was perfect all night.

So, what's everyone doing for New Year's Day meal? Do you have your greens and Black Eyed Peas?

Alrighty then chidren's. Had to get down brown in The Blues Kitchen with some foodz of teh kings.

Thats right y'all.

i'm talkin' 'bout Black Betteefied salmon cakes. Canned Alaskan humpy, fresh garlic, onion, jalapeener, rolled oats, an unfertilized chicken fetus, kosher salt, and fresh ground black pepperness.

I was havin' a crave for some jalapeener ranch to put on it too. Tarragon/red wine reduction, minced onion and jalapeener, canola mayo, and rabbi approved kosher salt.

But first...

mrs. blues hates the way cooking fish product stinks up the whole casa.

Busch beer in an orange can is just bizarre by itself. Universal balance is restored when adding a stolen shot of Patron. Sure its not my favorite tequila but it was free.

I comal'd a butter flour tortilla for the 'bidness and added some cheapo shredded scheezeness and some of that jalapeener RANCH just because I'm a Texan.

Ranch.

We put that sheeit on everthang.

RM, as soon as I figure out what alfrAdo sauce is, I'll let you know. In the meantime, that mess o' noodles, red and alfrEdo sauce looks excellent! ;)

I'm particularly liking the look of that bread. Yum!

That was awesome G!

Any improvement you do to my pics is always welcomed.

Surely you know what alfredo sauce is right?

Sorry, didn't mean to call you Shirley.

Yeah, I was just ribbin' RM for the spelling.... hehehe!

I've had my coffee and fresh made this morning Blueberry muffin. Actually I thought you'd be busting on the fresh cracked BP.

The bread was awesome. Tasted like the loaves at Carabas. Little butter and yum

Actually I thought you'd be busting on the fresh cracked BP.
Nah. I can look at a plate like that and, after the initial "ugh", envision it with other seasonings that would make it even better, and think "yum". It's not just about leaving out BP, but using other stuff creatively so no one would miss the BP. But I know you guys can't get out of the BP habit rut, so be it. ;)

Here's some DC for ya, got some sweet Italian sausage from the local grocery for .99lb. Sure, it was nearly out of date, but what the heck. I can work with this. So, I decided first to save queso (see other thread) and then use the rest to make some kick-azz sausage sandwiches. First I poached them a bit in some beer until it evaporated then, added some oil and browned them. Then I pulled them out and sauteed some onions and peppers. The sandwich is an Italian roll, two links, peppers and onions, Nathan's spicy mustard, HH81's pineapple yellow 7-pot sauce, and monterey jack cheese. The drink is wodka, cherry juice, and Sierra Mist.
